Thats a damn shame follower61, I recall the time and play had gone on whilst he was down in or next to their box zone.
Sorry to hear, yer have to say some of the refs calls were dubious to say the least.
He sure got the send off right :) that was shocking and stupid already on a yellow.

Your Prez - as much as its great to enjoy a win certainly didn't carry himself considering his position, I was seated at the halfway line and for a person of his stature his screaming out mid/late 2nd half was near on childish tbh.
Then the rudeness revving up your supporters early in the presentations was wrong as well but i suppose winners are grinners and don't think whilst enjoying the moments.

Who gives a crap what his role is, he is a tradie not a man in a suit and you wont find any shit eating formalities from him, probably the best president in the league and most down to earth person i know. Brought the club from near extinction which was brought on to us by FNSW to todays situation continuously winning everything

When you are told you will never be back in the top league by your federation pals, you deserve the right to party however you want.

& Yes I was abusing Zach Cairncross during the Post-Match formalities, dirty grub of a player.

Only thing need to know is that every supporter loves our president and we coudnt care what others think.

Its probably one of the only things I would be able to agree on with the Syd Utd boys.

srbin, not doubting about his qualities, never said to behave as a Lowy/Gallop type - tradie/garbo/sales person doesn't matter just stated as a figure head from an observers point of view, ofcourse its not cared, no biggi.

Enjoy the GF win and next game coming up.

I noticed there was a another thread on the FNSW current issues at hand at present in AF but thought being this involves us who follow this thread and active participants with clubs at any level thought to repost the issues at hand coming up this Sat.

The first 2 paragraphs are from Greg O'Rourke's recent open letter.........

This Saturday the voting membership will meet to consider a resolution to remove 4 Directors from the FNSW Board being Jeanette Jones, Simon Philips, Deputy Chairman Mark Reading and myself as Chairman. This resolution was signed by Tony Raciti (representing the Premier League 1 Clubs), Ross Gardner and Keith Pester (representing Interclub 1) and Andy Favalaro and Gino Marra representing the Southern Districts SFA.

Yesterday we received an email from Southern Districts outlining the reasons why they believe the Directors should be removed including Boundary definitions in the inherited constitution, FFA’s challenges with some HAL clubs, claims that the game is being administered by bureaucrats not member focused individuals and other completely false claims including that the Board has been discussing Super Associations. Whilst I do not intend to respond to many of these false and defamatory comments targeting not only the 4 Directors being challenged but also fellow Directors and previous Directors over the period referred to, I do wish to respond to their claims around the Men’s competition review 2016, Standing Committees, Federal Government grant and the sale of Columbia Court. These matters also being the subject of an article in last Sunday’s Sun Herald and other publications.

As well as the proposed 2016 on revised Competition below.......

The intent of the “flat” youth structure envisaged by the MCR 2016 outcomes is to increase opportunities for boys from 13-16 years of age in areas serviced by both NPL 1 and NPL 2 clubs. There is also to be increased opportunity for youth in the (old) State League 1 (to be renamed NPL3) areas, as well as a more limited option to Youth in SL2. The outcomes of the MCR 2016 are all about increasing opportunity for FNSW participants, not restricting opportunity to only the current elite group of clubs. This is why the Board has specified that A-League clubs enter with no advantage over incumbent clubs.

The amount of Premier League youth opportunities per head of total playing population has been (and remains) dramatically underrepresented in the FNSW footprint compared to the other Australian Member Federations. Prior to the changes proposed in the MCR 2016, FNSW had one NPL1 club for every 14,881 registered junior players compared to the second largest ratio being Football Queensland that has one NPL1 club for each 4,773 registered junior players. Victoria has less than 2,000 junior registered players for each NPL1 club. As you can see, even with the changes announced in MCR 2016, increasing the number of NPL1 Youth League teams from 13 to 26 will still leave FNSW well below the ratio of any of our state counterparts.

In addition to providing more opportunities for the development of our elite boys, FNSW and FFA are together investing in developing football coaches – both in quantity and quality.

What are your views/comments ?
Is Tony Raciti representing ALL PL1 clubs ?

I believe it was pushed back to the 24th as a result of the EGM on Saturday.

From what i've been told by my Association reps, Mr Raciti made a bit of a scene on the day, and in there words, "embarrassed himself".

Considering all those people that were publicly calling for the heads of the 4 directors have seriously burnt some bridges, will they be falling on their own swords? I mean we received an email from SDSFA directly after our association told them to beat it, which included an email that only had board member recipients. Meaning a FNSW board member has passed on confidential emails...

Nothing like a board room full of distrust, personal vendettas and leaking of everything contentious to move football forward in this state.

BW Rockdale would have to be very happy with the competition changes to the Youth League, and understandably so were against "rocking" the boat. Youth League now back in the top league, which otherwise would have taken sometime on current results. All kudos though, the only NSWPL club that "won" as a result of the competition changes, and all without a ball being kicked.

fyi champ, rcs never said a word one way or the other on the issue. there was a lot of crap written about the club going against fellow clubs which was all rubbish. the only point rcs have ever stated is that its against decoupling seniors from youth for obvious reasons. hard to start implementing change and promoting youth etc knowing youre in elite 2, and then hit 16's and youre elite 1. its a nightmare for coaches, for the td, and when trying to keep players etc. other clubs in the same position would agree.

Exactly the same situation as Parra. Parra got told by Raciti that he'd help them out once the flat structure was squashed, and Parra seemed too scared to question it and just accepted that. As soon as Rockdale questioned why their concerns weren't raised in Raciti's note to FNSW, Rockdale got chastised and outed as going against the rest of the group and removed from all correspondence between Clubs. At no point was there a vote, nor did Rockdale say they we're not supportive of the NPL1 clubs stance, just questioned why none of their concerns were addressed.

Definitely a good thing for your club. Having coached against you club for three seasons though, it is well deserved. Very organised and all age groups in state league play good football. How do you think your first grade do in NPL2 next year? I think there's a quota on how many foreigners you can have so it will be interesting to see what you do with all your British guys.

Here's hoping a lot of those guys have Australian residency. Yeah cheers mate, it's a credit to the club having so much emphasis on the youth teams that has really helped get the seniors here in such a short time frame.

I reckon we will be competitive in our first season. The jump up into NPL 2, outside of the top teams, isn't a huge leap, especially for a club that only lost once this season. Realistically, I reckon we could push for finals but fall short. Here's hoping for better though. Who do you go for?

On another note how does everyone reckon the A-league youth teams will go? I reckon they will face a similar year as the Victorian teams in their states 2nd division - one team (Melbourne victory) will smash it while the other teams will have an average year (like Melbourne city).

Yes agree SU58 - NPL1 minor changes but for ol Hakoah back in the top league taking Marconi's place.
I think just what Marconi need to rebuild/resource.

Kudos to Bridge, it was going to happen, has had great build up last 10yrs, mind you having the whole north shore to themselves (barring Spirit) makes for a huge jnr pool to gain momentum, coaching has been the big winner.
How will the ALeague jnr teams go ? just as how will bridge jnr teams go ? time will tell won't it.

Thankfully its all over barring reviewing a couple more SAP licence's in Oct.
