Nice to see people write off a player you know nothing about. An Aussie at that. One it's not true as he is going to take a look at the Thai league first and if he doesn't like that will come down to Aus and trial.

Shane Huke next? If Rikki Herbert had that same attitude Shane Smeltz (the all time leading scorer) never would have been brought to this league  Smeltz was 2 divisions above where Nix has been playing. We cannot be signing players from the English 7th division. Where'd you get that from? According to his wikipedia page he's playing in third tier Belgium, and before that he was with Tamworth in the Conference. Edited by gooner4life_8: 15/1/2013 03:34:44 PM Pretty sure he was playing conference south. I was under the impression that was he 7th tier? @Aussie pride, i understand what you're saying, but it's a pain to see clubs scouting so low. I've always said the A-League is be Conference North/South is the 6th tier, and even if Tamworth were in the 6th tier they wouldn't be in the conference south as opposed to the conference north so I'm not sure where you got that from :? But I think you're point still stands, the A-League is past the stage where clubs should be looking at Aussies and Kiwis playing non-league football in England. Edited by gooner4life_8: 15/1/2013 07:29:50 PM Tamworth FC play in the 5th tier of English football. Thats the one below the pro leagues, where more and more players are going because the money is pretty similar and they can get a career too. The fella was playing with Bradford a couple of seasons ago. He has represented England on the international scene since he was 15 and playing with Man Utd, so some one obviously saw something special in the guy. Give him a chance I think you'll be impressed. The video link…..I'm sure I've seen a certain £80 million player for Real Madrid do something similar before!! Is he not worthy of a Roar shirt either? ](*,)

Many people on this same forum laughed at that record he had and what a plodder he must be. He proved them all wrong. When he was at AFC Wimbledon though prior to Halifax that was in the 7th tier.

So I'll be supporting the Nix and Nix at the Roar?
Can Wellington sign Roar Strand so I'll have to support Roar at the Nix and Nix at the Roar?

Apparently he's playing third division Belgium. By the looks of things, Nix himself is unimpressed with the speculation around him and his future.
WOLLONGONG WOLVES FOR A-LEAGUE EXPANSION!

Yeah not fussed on him based on this Profile etc, bonus is that he has an Aus Passport, but i also think i'd rather give Lambo or Brattan more of a shot when Erik leaves..

Presumably, or is that hopefully, Paartalu is off to China this week. So maybe we will bring him in as a squadie midfielder with the bulk of the money going to that striker that Mulvey reckoned we were after.
But to be fair, if this is the scenario would we be better off putting Lambadaridis on a full time deal rather than bringing in a journeyman?

Hmm interesting, we still need a 2nd striker because they have told Proia to find another club. I still feel we should be promoting from within first. Some guys have been in the youth team for 3-4 years. Either promote them or release them and give some new kids a try. Because if they haven't shown anything in 4 years, why would they start to change that.
