Anyone got it/know someone who has? Heard anything good/bad about it?
Looking at getting it predominantly to watch EPL/Cricket/A-League/AFL. Just wanted to get people's opinions if they've had any experience with it.

I have it and it's pretty good. I only use it for EPL/HAL and there's no problems with it. You'll just wanna make sure you have a decent internet connection though.

Yeah, I think my net'll be good enough, plus I've got no download limit, so that's a major pro. What do they do with EPL when there's the 4/5 games on at once? Just a random one is chosen, or have the incorporated viewers choice?

My life needs this. Has anyone got any recommendations for internet? I'm currently paying $39/month for my wireless internet and it's giving me the shits.

Ideally go for ADSL2+ with a good provider like Internode or iiNet. TPG is cheap but their service is crap. Avoid Dodo like the plague Go on this site, it maps out the ADSL exchanges and gives you an estimate of your coverage as well as what providers and deals are available. http://www.adsl2exchanges.com.au/Also Whirlpool is really good at looking at deals. They have a broadband locator tool which does a similar job but is better for deal comparison. http://bc.whirlpool.net.au/If ADSL is not available and you have to go cable then go with Bigpond. Although they are expensive they are still the best cable internet service out there.

Yeah, I know that Dodo are garbage. Was probably going to go with TPG. Turns out I'm a block away from a DSL2+ exchange.

Plus 59 a month for Unlimited (Actual Unlimited) ADSL2+ is just sexy.

I have iinet and use Foxtel through the XBOX. Never an issue when using ethernet cable, but on wireless it does occasionally buffer.
So far every HAL game appears to have been shown - any I've tried to watch anyway. Haven't seen BBL on at all (assuming that's the cricket you want to see on it?), at least when games are on the same time as HAL. When there are multiple EPL games they seem to show only the main game. Ie, the ones you'd normally press red for are not shown. Will always be the "biggest" of the games on, but not necessarily the one your most interested in. Have only had it during the summer as I wanted it for HAL, so I can't really comment on AFL. I think there's a bigpond AFL channel on there but no idea what it shows.
Hopefully they branch out to a set up the same as reg Foxtel, or an online version. Really want those 3 Fox Sports channels.

From the De Bohun article: @Dennis_Silva: any plans to sell aleague games online or have Fox got those rights? DB: All matches will be streamed live by Fox Sports next season. Friday night games will be streamed by FFA How is this going to work, anyone got any more info?

TPG is good, also if you have a new Samsung you can just stream direct to the TV in 1080p.

You might be able to get a deal with Foxtel itself and get 'real' foxtel installed cheap. The basic Pack+Sport which is all I want would be 29.50 a month. 19.50 for Basic + 10 for sport. At the moment the same two packages on normal Foxtel is 38.50 p/m for 6 months, and then 61 p/m for 6 months. In terms of what cricket I want to watch, any. In terms of which EPL games I want to watch, any. Whatever is on will be more than what I get to watch now, so it's all positive. I think I'll sign up and see how it goes. There's no contract and you can cancel any time, so worst comes to worst, I'll cut it after a month or two.

Would of thought you will be able to catch the series in England on FTA, even if on a secondary channel. The last two played over there have been shown on SBS

Just thought I'd let anyone out there considering this that they now have the same Sports option as regular Foxtel. Fox Sports 1, 2 & 3 (as well as the old ones). Fairly sure there's no red button but we're getting there.

I was thinking about it before, but this is now up to full on get Foxtel pricing.

Although when I had Fox I was spending around $100 a month, so I'd consider Xbox to still be significantly cheaper.

Of course this doesn't include the install fee, but it's also getting the proper Foxtel set top box. I'm also a bit skeptical on the potential quality as I have iinet's Fetch TV at the moment and the buffering on the IPTV channels is damn annoying.

It's really annoying, can afford real foxtel but cant have it. Xbox Foxtel is better than not being able to watch A-League but the picture quality is terrible. Crowd scenes after a goal is scored are hillarious. It's like watching a crowd in an old FIFA game.
