My stats subject will be the death of me this semester... I am severely mathematically challenged, when it comes to formulas and alike.

Finally found a Uni. course I want to do and I could most likely get in \:d/

Going for Bach. of science at Monash, ATAR requirement is only 82 (for this year), and that's guaranteed entry.

I say only 82, but it's relatively low for such a good course at arguably Victoria's best uni (It's definitely second best).

I haven't really decided what to major in, I'll see what happens when the time comes.

First day back today. Had Writing, Deception and Authenticity tutorial today. Was on the internet on my laptop within 25 minutes. Such a boring class. Can already tell I'm gonna hate it. Lucky there's only 3 assessments, and one of them is a blog expanding on the ideas we talked about in class.

Monash is great! Loving it here, a lot less wankers compared to unimelb. However if you have mates who go to unimelb and you go to Monash expect this...

It's because UoM is regarded to be the better uni and as such a lot of uni melb students think they're the smartest cunts going round....

That being said I am a uni melb student but the wanker comment is spot on, I get in and out as quickly as I can, the ratio of pretentious cunts to decent human beings in my subjects is outrageously flawed.

Although I have no experience with Uni, I would have to agree with what you've said. I had a few wankers at my school laughing at my decision even though they still haven't made it to UoM. ](*,)

Had this mature age student in one of my classes last semester, the bloke was really smart would answer everything in class. Noticed he was in one my classes this semester, decided to sit next to him. Now in his group for one of the assignments. :d

Didn't take Uni seriously at all first semester, Semester 2 starts Monday so hopefully I do a bit better this term :lol: :lol:

My tourism lecturer after some mature aged student asked a typical mature aged student question: "don't worry guys, we don't listen to mature aged students"

There are two kinds of mature aged learners. Those who think they know everything and won't shut up about it. And those who do know everything and will carry you through the course :lol:

In my Performance Analysis in Football class this semester im learning to use Sportscode. Seems to be pretty cool, talk is we'll get to work with one of the Perth Glory Mens/Womens/Youth team.

Managed to get full marks. \:d/ Only 5 out of 5 but it's a good way to start the subject. :d

Well, there's always WAAPA at Mt Lawley ECU, but I suppose you need a certain minimum high level of marks in the relevant field to get in. There's also 'Central TAFE' I think, which have Music-related courses? Have known people who are and were in, both.

What's kind of interesting is, what you are studying CAN be related. The Economic gurus, geeks or what not can supposedly find beauty in numbers (Maybe that's a 'John Nash-style' stereotype really), there's a harmony in numbers or what not. But also that ability or part of the brain, arranging, sorting, calculating etc... The use of Music which can stimulate...

Ok, not sure that helps you much. But I suppose, the association of economics/maths and music is not so foreign, on a certain level - Mozart, classical music or some such, lol. I think it's creativity or imagination, to 'associate' or 'interpret' these 'sequences' and 'finding patterns'. Something along those lines.

Flipside, that's why high achieving and elite schools have an active and well funded, Music program etc... Learning an instrument etc... and the associated expression it brings is known to improve one's ability, confidence in other areas or what not.

Like how Perth Modern School here in Perth, is known for it's specialised Music Program etc...

Ordered a text book Thursday night and it still hasn't arrived. :( It normally takes one day. Was expecting it to be here by today. Really need it to do a tute activity or else I'll miss out on some marks. :(

Have an essay to write as well but I'm just not motivated. :(

On break for two weeks. Fucking hallelujah.

Got my first quiz result for one of my subjects. 20/100 overall marks completed for the subject already :cool:

My life has hit an all time low. A man is begging to do my homework whilst the only female currently begging me for anything lives 12 hours away :lol:

Went back to my course on Monday and find out we have a new trainer as our old one is on twelve marternity leave . Learned more from this guy in two days then in 2 months with the old one . Also got a 200 text book from curse . Loving it just over the numerous amount of legislation and copious amounts of assignments

Had my first Physiology exam this week. Studied loads but it seemed like every question in the test wasnt related to the study material. Hope i get a pass.

Four weeks in and my media law class is putting me to sleep. Tutor is so monotone and boring, it's so boring. The exam will destroy me.
