http://www.news.com.au/national/australian-man-warns-of-another-cronulla-riot-after-being-bashed-for-filming-muslim-women/story-fncynjr2-1227052255170

Quote:
AS Australian Muslim communities brace for retaliatory violence in the wake of the shocking acts of IS, a former soldier has posted a chilling video promising Cronulla-style race riots.
Ralph Cerminara, a former Australian soldier who is one of the leaders of the fringe Australian Defence League group, recently posted the video on You Tube.
“Another Cronulla is coming, and I can’t wait until it does, because this time, we’re going to show you who’s boss,” Cerminara said.
Ralph Cerminara
He also says the prayer rooms and mosques are going to “burn”.
“I’m coming for you,” he says in his diatribe.
The video was posted after Cerminara was reportedly assaulted while filming people in Lakemba, according to The Daily Mail. The attack left him with a small cut to his left ear.
Cerminara had allegedly been following Muslim women around, taking pictures of them and posting the images on the ADL’s Facebook page, where he and other members wrote insulting things about them.
“I’m going to continue photographing all your women, and your f---en men (if you call them men, I call them gutless cowards), but I’m going to continue doing it,” Cerminara boasted in his You Tube video.

“And there’s nothing you guys can do about it. Simple and plain. The law’s on my side, not your side. And even if the law wasn’t on my side, I’d continue doing it.”
Cerminara’s actions have caused great concern among the local community.
Islamic groups said he must stop and explain his actions and his apparent hate campaign against them.
Maha Abdo, the executive officer of the Muslim Women’s Association, told the ABC earlier this year that she didn’t understand why this was happening.

“Why are they attacking women? Why are they taking photos without their consent?,” Abdo said.
“Whether it is racism or it is not it’s not about that anymore. It’s about the effect of their words and their reaction on normal average people.”

One mother of three who was subject to Cerminara’s photography on public transport also told the ABC the experience gave her panic attacks.
“When I’m alone, I have panic attacks,” the unidentified woman told the national broadcaster’s 7:30 program.
“I need to, you know, see a counsellor and work through my fears to see if I can go back on a train and get over this.”

Yeah I saw the video yesterday, Thought I'd add it here.
The guy is an embarrassment to ordinary Australians, though personally I'm against any group or cult that uses force to "persuade" people to be part of them, and as far as I'm concerned, ISIS is really an army that is using religion as a front to invade vulnerable (oil Rich )nations , I wonder who is funding them?
anyway, Ban the Burka IMO /rant

I don't agree with this guy but it is scary to think people get more outraged by him than beheading videos that preach hate.

When they do it's not always unconditional, it's usually with a caveat that the west a involvement in the Middle East is fuelling the aggression.

https://muslimsinaustralia.files.wordpress.com/2014/08/statement8.pdf

This was signed by something like 60 Australian Imams, on the same day the second journalist was beheaded. They are clearly paranoid and suffering a persecution complex, I am shocked they reject the idea of segmenting Muslims "moderates" and "radicals", as if it's some kind of government conspiracy. You would think wouldn't want anything to do with those animals who bring such shame to their religion and communities but it's clear who their sympathies are with.

The west and Islam will never get along.

Because Western Involvement in the Middle East IS fuelling the aggression you fucking Ignorant kunt. That's what started half this fucking thing in Iraq where the arrival and sudden departure of western forces created a massive power vacuum and instability in the region.

The Imam's are in the right to not agree with the libs bullshit. It it has the potential to target and discriminate against their entire community rather than do anything to address the societal issues that are at work influencing these young men who want to go to fight in the Middle East.

And regardless, anyone who thinks Islam is a more violent religion than Christianity doesn't know a lot about History or a lot about Christianity

Ridiculous last statement. Christian states have a somewhat bloody history, but the religion itself doesn't promote violence. If Christianity is practiced properly, it isn't violent at all. I don't know Islamic doctrine well enough to know if I'm reading the violent suggestions in context.

All religions have some sort of mechanism that promotes violence even though it doesn't directly imply it.
What matters is the way people have interpreted it.

Christians aren't the ones beheading people and starting wars.

If you're taking that message from Christianity that does demand violence, then Islam is similar. Both have been used for the justification of atrocities.

Happy to find examples of God demanding murder, regicide, infanticide and genocide in both testaments if you would like.

If you can pull them out of the New Testament I'll be impressed. OT there's some very strange stuff in there which demonstrates a crazy vengefulness towards sin and enemies of the Israelites but NT I'm struggling to think of what you'll pull out.

Just for starters... Matthew.

10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,1:31Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

I don't agree with this guy but it is scary to think people get more outraged by him than beheading videos that preach hate.

A beheading video filmed in Australia would cause 100 times more outrage.

The outrage stems from a fairly progressive society seeing one of their own act like a massive nutter.

Everyone is quick to label all Muslims as terrorists but its rude to label all Christians as pedophiles.

As much as we separate church from politics we really are a one religion country with small pockets of others all over.

Crimes executed in the name of religion is a means of saying we have a right to do it and if you disagree with it then you are also accusing everyone who follows that religion.

Pure and simple.....Strength in numbers....mass intimidation.

It's good to see most Australians denounce this guy as a tool. Wish the Islamic community would do the same with ISIS.

"isis denounced by islamic community" go google that you lazy git, the islamic community are denouncing them.

Christians aren't the ones beheading people and starting wars.

Christianity has evolved over the last 1000 years.

What bullshit, you don't have a clue what you are talking about. You must not have heard of the Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, the burning of heretics and Protestants at the stake, the Thirty Years War, the St Bartholomews Day Massacre or modern examples like Anders Breivik and the Lord's Resistance Army. Christianity is violent and has form in starting wars.

Pope Urban, the fucking so called voice of god, called the crusades to attack what he called a "despised and base race, which worships demons". This was despite the holy land being freely shared between all people of the book. When Muslim cities were captured by Christian crusaders, it was standard operating procedure for all inhabitants - no matter what their age - to be summarily killed. Those that chose to surrender were beheaded and had their heads put on pikes.

In 1208, Pope Innocent III raised an army of over 20,000 knights and peasants eager to attack the free thinking Cathari in the south of France. When their City fell, the christian soldiers asked the pope what were their orders as they couldn't tell who was a heretic. The pope replied through his emissary "Kill them all. God will know His own."

Christianity and it's history is barbaric. It's texts are full of violent traditions and sayings and far more blood has been spilt in Christianity's name than Islam. Anyone who supports it has no right to call themselves civilised or taken seriously.
