 I was surprised when I saw a Tottenham fan post in this thread, then I saw it was about something to do with Arsenal and it all made sense. I knew you'd be the first to post something  Can't help yourself can you? It's actually to do with Christian Eriksen but I guess Arsenal fans think everything is about them as per usual  You're making a direct comparison to an Arsenal player  Doesn't faze me though, Eriksen is an amazing player and I wanted him at Arsenal for years, biggest man crush on him  . If Van Gaal play's him centrally next year he'll absolutely tank it. The comparison is more due to the price tag difference between the two and the relative fapfest over Ozil (who is an amazing player regardless). Eriksen does need to play centrally. He should be playing where Chadli has been playing. A direct swap between the two would work.

 I was surprised when I saw a Tottenham fan post in this thread, then I saw it was about something to do with Arsenal and it all made sense. Two active Spurs fans on the forum, our season is basically over, what do you expect? Was having a look at the squad and this is my thoughts on the future of our squad: GomesForgot he even existed! Kyle WalkerImproved from last year, nowhere near back to his best though. Still think he needs a quality right-back to compete with. Danny RoseNot been great, but still good enough to stay on as a squad player at least. Younes KaboulHampered by injury, inconsistent when he plays, but is a leader on the pitch and has a right to fight for his place. Jan VertonghenSeems to have lost his hunger, a different player from last season and we should either give him a kick up the ass or let him go. Vlad ChirichesAlthough extremely error prone, has the potential to be a good player and is great on the ball Aaron LennonBeen good without the end product this season, much like every other year. PaulinhoBeen underwhelming, had one fantastic game (think it may of been home vs Stoke) but has struggled for the majority of the season. Roberto SoldadoStruggled to score, but still believe he has a future at this club if given some confidence. Honestly think the best thing for him is to be treated like shit like Ade was, shove him in the 18's and let our new manager treat him with respect. Emmanuel AdebayorDifferent player, how can a player from such humble beginnings be such a cocky, greedy ****. Erik LamelaNot given game time when fit, which has been rare. Lewis HoltbySome may know of my love for this bloke, absolutely class player with a bright future. Ettiene CapoueHas had much of a look-in, from what we saw under AVB in the first few games of the season seemed like a decent player. Kyle NaughtonNot good enough. Andros TownsendIf a manager can take him under his wing, he will be a brilliant player. Just needs to learn to pass, hopefully he will stay with us for years to come. Moussa DembeleSuch a classy player, but has a tendency to go missing in big games. Michael DawsonDeclined ridiculously from last year, wouldn't be suprised if our new manager sells him to make way for Caulker ([-o< ) Nacer ChadliHas been disappointing, relatively invisible in several games. Gylfi SiggurdssonHas a knack of scoring, often makes a difference of the bench. Deserves a chance and I'm sure Van Gaal (or whoever) will give him that Christian EriksenTwo words. Fucking brilliant. Brad FriedelWill probably be retiring soon, hopefully a young keeper will be given a chance. Hugo LlorisBeen fantastic this season but I reckon he'll be off to PSG by season's end. Iago FalqueWill be interesting to see what happens with him, is a neat little player from what I've heard. Tom CarrollWas decent last year when he got his chance, been getting game-time with QPR and would expect him to be a strong part of the squad next year. Jake LivermoreA lot people didn't like him while he was playing with us, didn't think he was too bad TBH. SandroBEEEEEEEEEEEAST!! Really rate him, hopefully the injuries stop for him. BAEUnsure if he deserves to come back tbh, can not get over his attitude towards football. Zeki FryersNot seen enough of him, done OK in his chances. Harry KaneLooks promising, did well yesterday and fully deserved his goal. Seems to be a favourite around the dressing room. Nabil BentalebHas potential and is not that bad, but he doesn't deserve to be anywhere near the Starting XI ATM.

Nabil BentalebHas potential and is not that bad, but he doesn't deserve to be anywhere near the Starting XI ATM. where's Vaughan now that AVB is gone? GomesI remember the glory days. He was fantastic. High profile mistakes really cost him against Real Madrid and Chelsea. Kyle WalkerTends to get caught out of position and we haven't seen the barnstorming runs we used to much this season. Danny RoseHe's not a defender and never will be. Get rid of him. Younes KaboulVery athletic and good on the ball for a CB. Needs a solid runs to get back to his best. Jan VertonghenNot as good as last season. Very solid. Works hard for the team. Vlad ChirichesHaven't seen enough. Good ball control. Needs to learn about safety first though. Aaron LennonTime is up for me. He hasn't developed at all. Glimpses are all we ever get. He's fast but that's all he is. Can't cross and doesn't get back post enough when the ball comes in from the left. PaulinhoHasn't shown enough for me. Solid but unconvincing. Thought he was more of a playmaker but his passing range hasn't impressed me. Roberto SoldadoSolid player who suffered a lack of service all season. As I've said for ages, i'd love to have seen what he was capable of with Modric supplying him. Emmanuel AdebayorHe always seems so calm and I think it's a positive for the team. Great link up and hold up ability. Always good for a goal. Erik LamelaNeeds a solid preseason and to get into the team. Don't know if he should play as a winger. Lewis HoltbySame as Paulinho. A loan at Fulham will do him some good. Has the passion to be a leader at Spurs. Ettiene CapoueSolid, poor purchase though when we have Sando, Bentaleb and Paulinho doing the same thing essentially. Kyle NaughtonChampionship. That is all. Andros TownsendNeeds to be a team player. So many pointless shots. He needs to play on the f*cking left wing. Moussa DembeleGreat dribbling skill. I rate him. Needs to get into more goal scoring positions. Michael DawsonTime is up. He's a Spurs legend but he's too slow and courage/determination only takes you so far. Nacer ChadliShows promise. Hard to evaluate given his sparse appearances. Gylfi SiggurdssonWhy is he not in the team more???? Needs to play centrally. Has a great shot and gets into good goal scoring positions. Doesn't look comfortable as a wide player though. Christian EriksenOzil who? Brad FriedelSolid as ever. Wish we had a young third keeper for him to mentor. I think our youngsters are out on loan. Huge respect for Brad he's a true professional. When I went to WHL he was in front of me for 45mins and never stood still. So methodical in his application. Hugo LlorisFantastic keeper. Our shambolic defence may have hurt his confidence and I can see him leaving. It's tough but I can't blame him. Iago FalquePromised so much. Where is this bloke? Tom CarrollGet him in the f*cking first team. I'll be devastated if we sell him. Jake LivermoreA loan to Hull was the best thing for Jake. Harry rated him, i'll be interested to see how he goes next season if he returns to us. SandroGive him a 10 year contract. I hope injuries are kinder to him next season. BAESolid. A very decent LB. Why we kept Rose instead of Benny is a f*cking joke. He loved the fans at Spurs and threw his shirt into the crowd after the game I attended so you can't question his loyalty for the club. Poor decision to send him away. Zeki FryersHaven't seen enough to rate him. Harry KaneGot into great positions against Sunderland. He's a strong lad who should be given more game time. His confidence will be high following his first goal in the PL. Nabil BentalebPeople expect too much from him. He's a gifted 19 year old and people need to remember that.

Dear Danny Rose,
Please fuck right off. Not only can't you defend but you go down wayyyy too easily and I do not want you near our first team.
Regards
Tottenham Hotspur fans everywhere.

Good news is you came back from 3-0 down to get a draw

 Missed a penalty and two guilt-edged chances to score (Kane). Should have won but a point was more than we deserved for that traffic cone defending.

Being at the Armoury to watch the Arsenal game on Sunday morning, surrounded by Gunners fans, it was pretty funny that the moment Sydcro checked the live score on his phone to see Tottenham were 2 or 3 down with an Adebayore pen miss how quickly we made friends  it was a great talking point leading up to our game.
Didn't see the game but must have been a decent effort to be 3 down and snag a draw.

I don't know my best team - Sherwood 18 April 2014 Updated 22:55 GMT Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood has admitted that he does not know his best team because so many of his players are "much of a muchness". Sherwood said that goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and striker Emmanuel Adebayor stood out as exceptions, with Christian Eriksen just behind that pair. "I have assessed the players more than anyone. I could not tell you the best 11 players at Tottenham," he said. "They're are all so similar, much of a muchness regarding the same quality."
Oh Tim.

Only just realised we've still got a decent chance of getting top 4, 4 points behind Arsenal and 3 behind Everton.
Our run-in Away vs Stoke Away vs West Ham Home vs Villa
Woolwich's run-in Away vs Hull Home vs Newcastle Home vs West Brom Away vs Norwich
Everton's run-in Home vs United Away vs Southampton Home vs City Away vs Hull
If we win all our games we'll be on 72 points.
If Everton lose to City and United, and draw one of the other games, they will be on 70 points.
The hard part is we need Arsenal to get 4 points or less from their last 4 games. West Brom and Norwich are fighting relegation so you never know and Hull is an extremely difficult place to go. I think I'm clutching at straws a tad here .

We haven't deserved 4th all year. A good look at ourselves after the season finishing in 6th is what our players and chairman need.

On wards and upwards though, hopefully our new leader can bring in new ideas and REAL leadership. What do you reckon our squad is shaping up to be next year? Sandro/Paulinho-Dembele/Holtby Eriksen Lamela-Ade/Soldado-Townsend I wonder how Andros would go on the left in a 3-5-2/3-5-1-1. Sandro Walker-Paulinho/Holtby-Dembele-Townsend Eriksen Ade/Soldado Edited by milan_7: 22/4/2014 08:44:42 PM Hard to say really. We need to re-shape our squad. We're heavy on holding mids. Assuming we hold Hugo and Jan. Mine would be something like this: LLoris Walker Chiriches Vertonghen Anyone but Rose Lamela Sandro Dembele/Paulinho Townsend/Siggy Eriksen Soldado I think Lamela could play a big part for us with a solid pre-season and some manager/fan backing in early rounds. Eriksen in partnership with Soldado could be important. A good start for Soldado is key. I don't rate Paulinho at all. Pops up for a few goals but his general play is not overly impressive (although ESPN love him, he was in their TOTW over Eriksen). However Dembele isn't a great alternative. I'd rather persist with Holtby. Both players need more attacking sense and need to go for goal when presented with an opportunity. Lennon for me is done and so is Rose. Not good enough. Kaboul and Dawson are good leaders but mistake prone defenders so squad players for me. Chiriches is decent but has struggled with inconsistent use. He was terrible against WBA but it shows what can happen when you play 1 game in 5. Jan has had a shit run with injuries. I expect better next season. We need the following IMO: A LB for sure, Coentreau? Getting Benny back would be a good start. How we let him go out on loan over Rose is beyond me. Rose is not a defender and never will be sadly. He also dives and that annoys me. A centre back (Lovren from Saints?) A right back for competition with Walker who has been poor for 2 seasons now. A genuine winger. We need to play the way we did under 'Arry with a bit more tactical sense. We have always been at our best with free flowing football. Since Arry things have turned to shit. Trying to change Spurs style is the worst thing ever. I'm interested to see how things go in the post-season. I don't want players hanging around that don't want to be there thats for sure.

Agree RE: Paulinho and Dembele, we are 2 or 3 players away IMO, it's whether we can hold onto our current team that matters. Maybe Jan will want to be here a bit more if we get LVG or any other class manager.
