I'm not sure the best way to say this, but it felt necessary to say out loud, so here it goes regardless.

I have banned rusty's profile for an unacceptable thread he/she made which has now been removed.

Our best move going forward is not to go further into it all. Thanks for understanding.

There's no doubt that there'll be more right-wing violence on Inauguration Day with the FBI reporting of armed protests planned at all state capital buildings as well as Washington DC. I'd be amazed if the day ends without more deaths. We'll see how Trump reacts to that, although I expect his aides would have some arse covering prepared in advance after last time.

so its Trumps fault that people protest and there is violence, like you know it was Obamas fault when there were fires and violence at Trumps inauguration?

Just to inform you, you know the claim that BLM was mostly peaceful?  it comes from some research that claimed 93% of BLM protests were peaceful. even if true, that 7% amounts to Two Hundred and twenty different locations, not incidents, locations where violent protests occurred.

Trumps supporters have another 219 locations of violence to go to make it even....

Let's also not forget Guliani's "trial by combat" comments at the same rally.
No incitement at all lol.

ok so now that you have nothing you want to shift to 'impeach' a private citizen employed by Trump?

Congress cannot invoke the 25th, that's the Vice President and Cabinet's job.

that would be why Pence was mentioned, you know, him being the VP and all, but thanks for your emlightening contribution

Here's the full speech, with a transcript: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/interactive/2021/annotated-trump-speech-jan-6-capitol/

Having seen it I am in no doubt that it directly lead to the riot. Using the word "peacefully" once in an hour-long speech doesn't cut it.

More importantly, not doing anything to stop them until 2:38pm local time, over an hour after the Capitol was breached at 1:30pm (and even then it was just "stay peaceful"), not telling them to go home until almost three hours after it started with his hilarious video at 4:17pm (in which the first half of which was dedicated to repeating his election fraud claims and told the rioters "we love you, you're very special"), and not unequivocally denouncing the rioters and the violence until the day after (in a speech he definitely didn't write) makes him culpable, in my view.

Let's also not forget Guliani's "trial by combat" comments at the same rally.

You blokes are great.  Who knew Australia had unhinged, raging man babies like they do in America.

This is the typical leftist response when they’ve lost the argument, to resort to petty, childish insults.

Rusty now sounding like a wifebeater blaming his partner for his violent actions

"You drove me to this lefties!!!"

False equivalence.

An equivalent one would be more like a wife that abuses her partner and he/she/it retaliates in kind.

I think we can all agree that the overt support for certain types of racist violence and fascism shown by Obama, Biden, Harris and their media partners has spooked many millions of people not only in the USA, but around the world.
Now the actions taken of those concerned citizens breaking into the capitol was over the top and wrong, but it shows the real concern held by many millions.

The question is how do we disavow the democrats and the media companies from the racism and fascism that they hold so dear. This will be a difficult task given the wealth and power they are accumulating.

Great job Mark. I thought we had lost you to communism with some of your comments, but its great to see that you havent lost your marbles yet.

If you constantly punch someone in the face over and over again eventually they will punch back. Sometimes harder.  If you just continue to pour gasoline on the fire by invoking new impeachment articles, threatening imprisonment, censoring conservatives, bashing them in the streets, violently suppressing their protests, portraying them as seditionists, nazis, fascists etc, its only going to inflame the situation. Right leaning, Republican voters are now a genuinely oppressed class of people. The spectre of civil war, or at least a serious outbreak of violence, was always possible no matter who won the election. Now we are seeing the chickens come home to roost.

The left are completely blind. They cannot see how they have become antagonists in this situation. Everything they do, no matter how terrible, is immediately excused on the basis that they are not Donald Trump and all Donald Trump voters are evil, white supremacist fascists who deserve to be purged from society. Its a genuine two tier justice system. It’s basically what happens when you have an obsessed media focussing on a single narrative for four years, mixed in with a few conspiracy theories to whip up social unrest, and a total lack of responsibility and accountability for all the lies, fake scandals, collusion, violence and oppression they have caused. Of course the left will never admit any fault, I mean why look into the complexities of a situation when everything can be dumbed down to “Donald Trump bad man! Bad man’s fault!”

If there is any good to come out of this, it’s to remind the left that though they now control the white house, the media, big tech, universities and all the other institutions, that they are not totally immune from consequences. We hope and and strive for a peaceful solution, but if one is not forthcoming politically or culturally, then there is always a militaristic option.

Bang on Rusty.  The Left really are blind to the fact that they are the cause of all the division, the hate, the racism, the discrimination.  But like all authoritarean regimes, they can't see it and only advocate escalation of the oppression...the town square beatings will continue until morale improves..

If I was a GOP Senator I'd be giving serious thought of voting to convict and remove Trump and barring him from future office with an eye on 2024, but I'm sure the vote will be mostly partisan.

You are pathetic.  Trump did not say just that did he.  Nor did Guiliani, nor Don Jr or any number of the sycophants that stood on stage with him immediately prior to them marching.  They wound them right up, poured petrol all over them and threw a match on it..  All of that coupled with multiple incendiary tweets.  Quoting a tiny part of a 45 minute speech without full context is the worst kind of debating tactics.

As has been said by multiple commentators what happened at the capitol building was disgusting but NOT SURPRISING.  (That's the worst part.)

No wonder no one takes you seriously.  Just reading some of your previous posts I honestly think you need to see a pyschologist.

And in case you can't google, 'insurrection' is 'a violent uprising against an authority or government'.  Only one group was guilty of that.

Quote Trump's full speech then.  Point out the bit where he advocates " violent uprising against an authority or government" I dare to you to

As for Harris, what the fuck do you think BLM was about if not to overthrow the President?  Black lives?  LOL.

All the while VP-elect was cheering the destruction.

The minute public opinion went against BLM and was hurting Biden's campaign the MSM reporting of it abruptly stopped.

Within a matter of days after the election BLM founder Patrice Cullors demanded a seat at the table with Biden for helping him win the election.

Are you that fucking dim-witted?

Trump: "I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard."

This quote alone exonerates Trump. At not stage did he call for violence or riots or to raid the capitol. Whipping up a crowd and "multiple incendiary tweets" is not the same as inciting violence. If they're going to set the bar that low then Pelosi, Schumer, Abrams, etc need to be sent to the electric chair for the roles they played in Trump supporters being killed, harassed and assaulted, the government buildings they burnt down and the billions in business losses.
