Security carrying on like a pack of fannies is becoming a common theme at this tournament. Just heard word from a mate at the China vs Uzbek game and others on twitter that security at Lang Park are harassing Uzbek fans who are wearing "non official" merchandise (aka knockoff kits) and were told to remove them or leave. Since when is it securities business what fans wear? This is in addition to other events this week such as: - Security at AAMI Park storming bays to confiscate North Korean banners and Kim Jong Un masks - Security and Police into the corner putting about 20 of their own into the corner to intimidate the initial handful of vocal north korea supporters who dared to make a noise and dissuade others from joining them - Fans being threatened with eviction from lang park for trying to join the Iraq active area during the match. - Iraq fans having pre 2003 flags confiscated. Scouse roar (take with a grain of salt if you need to) also just put this up "Absolute idiocy trying to get Muslim women to remove their shirts when they only have those shirts" This shite is embarrassing for football in this country. Non of these incidents are worth security intervention and just gives us a bad image in Asian football. Edited by melbourne_terrace: 14/1/2015 09:59:35 PM
