Guam top of the group. I hope they qualify for the next round. Would be great fun playing them too.

Yeah, it's pretty mind boggling to think how dreadful they are. They struggle in the AFC Cup too.

Pakistan are worse... they have never won a world cup qualifier.
Their record is... played- 28; won- 0; drawn- 3; lost- 25. Scored 11 goals and conceded 115:lol:

Good news for AFC. Better luck next time, New Zealand.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Searched all over and couldn't find this thread. Illuminati confirmed.
Funny about China but it gives Qatar a chance.
No surprising results so far otherwise.

The Kyrgyz really taking it to Jordan here, could be a surprising result, which would be awesome for us.

Kyrgyzstan playing a good brand of football like the top Russian clubs, keeping the ball, a lot of one-touch play making space. They've worked their arses off.

HT 0-0 in Jordan. Kyrgyzstan so unlucky not to score at the end of the half, forcing a double save out of the Jordanian keeper.

0-0 between Jordan and Kyrgyzstan, leaving Australia 2 points clear.
Kyrgyzstan really could have won it a number of times, it's going to make the group very interesting.

What the hell is happening in Malaysia?! Seriously though, with all these floggings I can't see the AFC sticking with the current format. There is still way too much disparity between the top and bottom AFC nations for these groups to be interesting contests.

Hmmmm maybe although I suppose when you look elsewhere around the world the same sort of gaps do happen. When you've got teams like San Marino, Faroe Island and Liechtenstein going up against the European powerhouse similar scores could happen. The only fed where you don't really see it is South America.

Are Syria playing in Syria or have they moved their home games to a neutral venue yet? I know for a short time all their domestic league games were being played in Damascus but I think the Syrian leagues have been suspended for a couple of years now for obvious reasons. I know Iraq wanted to start playing home matches in Iraq again. I think they've held a few friendlies in the less dangerous cities. But I'm not sure if they're playing the WCQs in Iraq. I doubt many Australians would be comfortable playing there.
