You see the facility the football players gets its atrocious, why would anybody want to play as there is no money in it. We play this stupid game of cricket, with handful nation in it, most of the games are fixed, people even have got killed for opening their mouth. Still we follow it. We organised common wealth with a motto that our athlete will get better facility and can compete, what happened was huge fiasco and corruption that followed. What you are referring to is the divide in Indian sports culture. Cricket is a polarising sport as too is football. You either love it or hate it. The difference with football is that India are absolutely shit at football and good at cricket (on their home pitches). The ISL showed how much support Indian football has depite no success.
