johnszasz wrote:Amazing for Guam. I hope they keep getting points. Would love Turkmenistan to somehow hinder iran. It never fails to amaze me how shit India are at football. 1.2 Billion people, and they can't even get a half-decent XI for their national team. Their national team could probably throw on a cricket strip and roll the arm over all right.

I'm normally not one to moan about things but if a Nazi flag is banned I don't see why that Japanese flag is allowed. It's displayed on a lot of clothing brands and at games. For many it represents the identical reign of terror from the German regime across Asia.

The rednecks probably didnt know what it means.

Tonnes of German fans have it on their jackets or I see mini ones at games and if we're going to follow rules of non political symbols at games then it must be included. Anyway back to the football. Tajikistan has leveled up.

Afghanistan at the death against Cambodia 1:0. South Korea cruising against Myanmar. Hong Kong doing very well. Hopefully they can challenge Qatar. Disappointed but expected tough results for Bhutan. Being in this round will do them a world of good.

Also, regarding the Cambodian match, the cameraman sure did love spotting out those cute Khmer girls :P

Just realised Iran only drew in Turkmenistan. We're very fortunate considering the results of the pot 1 teams. UAE only just won while Uzbekistan suffered a real blow. Kyrgyzstan will definitely give Jordan trouble and hopefully assist our campaign on the way.

Fucking get in Palestine. 6-0 over Malaysia. Where's Brendan Gan when they need him. Group A is fucked. Palestine top the group at the moment. Will have to work hard though. The Saudi's post the biggest threat to them.

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Guam gaffer Gary White talks about the Matao's terrific success so far in Group D AFC Qualifying 2nd Round: http://www.beyondthepitch.net/podcasts/edition/index.cfm/one-world-sports/2015/07/01/Also this where it's clear that not all Indians are enamoured with Cricket Quote:Ridiculous!! How can you get beaten by Guam of all the nation. We are getting worse day by day, I mean it is not the players fault, its the system. Cricket, Cricket and Cricket we don’t thing above that, the worst part is that the game of cricket is all fixed, rigged to the core & still we follow, unreal! its like watching a movie where the ending is fixed. You see the facility the football players gets its atrocious, why would anybody want to play as there is no money in it. We play this stupid game of cricket, with handful nation in it, most of the games are fixed, people even have got killed for opening their mouth. Still we follow it. We organised common wealth with a motto that our athlete will get better facility and can compete, what happened was huge fiasco and corruption that followed. We Indians live in a cuckoo land in terms of sport, football in India is begging for money to be invested, please do something. http://www.foxsportsasia.com/football/asian-football/news/detail/item55812/Edited by Oblivious Troll: 5/7/2015 01:18:03 PM
Its a game for everyone. Its not pale, male, or stale. It transcends race, gender, economic status. Its for everyone. - Tal Karp

What you are referring to is the divide in Indian sports culture. Cricket is a polarising sport as too is football. You either love it or hate it. The difference with football is that India are absolutely shit at football and good at cricket (on their home pitches). The ISL showed how much support Indian football has depite no success.
