Well that was majorly disappointing. Tomsula seems to have lost faith in Hayne from one dropped PR, all the memories of pre-season washed away. This is typical of Australian players who go overseas, including soccer players, to further their careers, one mistake or bad game and it's all over.

:lol: pre-season means fuck all. Tomsula hasn't lost faith in Hayne, he was always likely to be more a return man today than running back and it's not his fault the 49ers were garbage and could only force 3 punts.

He's just one part of a very big problem. He's not helped by the fact his #1 receiver can't stay fucking healthy, and well there isn't much he can do about the defence :lol:

Perspective PLEASE! It is a game of inches and he finished the game with POSITIVE yards and did what he was sent out there to do! Last week he dropped his first catch-not a great start, THIS week he called for a fair catch which was the right call, and got positive yards on his next punt. He made a first down run which is what every team wants because they're moving the ball.

Do not start the wonderful Australian tradition of cutting down the tall poppies.

Quite a poor article. Jarryd featured a fair bit in game one for a 5 game rookie. There are two other rookies that had no part in game one and coach said he was always going to play all 3 today. Just looks to me as though he's spreading the work load throughout the rookies somewhat evenly. Hayne will likely feature more in game 3. To say his future is up in the air is a little over the top. Article features no other information but an opinion - a bad one at that

A lot of Australians now realising what Hayne has got himself into in San Francisco. He's going to need to take advantage of all the punt returns he gets because his defence isn't going to be giving him many to look at.
