Need new mod nominations to control the unruly AF.

Being a mod is a thankless and unforgiving jobs. I know pala whilst at the mv game two weeks back was on here trying to keep the peace and not watching the game. He has a full time job as well. Also i find it funny that mv and syd fc fans have being copping ahit for ages but brissy fans crack the hissy fits when the get it. Blame paul c

It cycles with the dominant club. Brisbane fans were insufferable. Victory fans are becoming the same.

What annoys me is threads looking to debate games, players and actual football are derailed by fans wanting to one-up each other with bullshit or people using personal attacks against the OP poster.

Needs to be stamped out.

I think the concept of "factions" in ET has been overblown too (especially around this M80 thing).

The eternal shit fighting just makes this place boring to be honest, it's almost impossible to find any threads that have meaningful discussion going on, both in AF and ET. I pop in every now and then, click on a thread in a hope, only to usually discover a mix of the same posters circlejirking their friends/flinging shit at others.

As someone that has lurked and occasionally posted for a pretty long while I have noticed that no one is really above it. Even most of the users who I used to enjoy reading contribute to it nowadays.

But then again it's just an internet forum and none of what I am saying really matters.

I would suggest that the solution for those complaining of a lack of quality discussion is to start some yourself, start new threads, ask thought provoking questions, whatever, it all helps.

Of course but what I mean is you don't see these cliques go into a thread and just attack someone in some sort of coordinated way or to defend one of their own. That happens in AF though. In ET, usually it's because you're opinion is either simply unpopular and a number of people disagree with you or you're being a douche.

Never posted much in AF, 1) Because apparently I'm a eurosnob and 2) I think the actual football knowledge of a large portion in there is laughable.

Ever since we couldn't comment on directly on articles, WF has gone down hill too. Good bunch of guys in there but used to be a lot better, every week there would be one or two incidents that would get everyone fired up but now with only a few regulars, it's near impossible.

Will probably stay around until the end of the season but it has really gone to shit.

Problem with decentric is that if question him , he'll just rabble on about knvb, his c licence and you dont have a licence so you cant comment. Paul c you got be kidding right. All he does is troll and if people bite he cracks on about the m80s (for a start he created the term and called anyone who defended a poster he didnt like a fellow m80)
