Political correctness is a buzzword that privileged people use in order to pretend they're victims.

The Soccer World Cup is nothing more than an extension of the Euro Championship against 'one too many' South American states. The other teams: USA, Asian and African entries represent tokenism

I think I don't disagree with you that much, and you're right about the benefits that you've pointed out. I misinterpreted it at first and didn't properly understand what you meant. I've learnt a bit about the effects of drugs on the brain and drug addiction/substance abuse from studying psychology, so that's where most of my opinion on this kind of thing comes from.

If some people think they're the wrong gender, let them be. Even those with retarded made up sexualities and genders that are clearly just a mental problem or cry for attention. However, you shouldn't be obliged to be friends with them or support their cause.

It is definitely interesting how they get lumped together regardless of the issue. A perfect example is the recent Seattle legislation which requires pre-op trans people to use the bathroom of the gender on their birth certificate (your birth cert gender there can be changed once you are post-op). Now all the companies and individuals who are protesting it are saying that it is anti LGBTQI, that it is homophobic etc. Now you might argue it's transphobic (I don't believe that personally), however to conflate that with issues about sexual orientation isn't valid. Rather it's just a political ploy to magnify an issue by falsely claiming it affects far more people than it really does (i.e. the whole LGBQTI spectrum rather than just pre-op TI individuals). It is LGBQTIA you exclusionary fascists. You must identify all of the perverted deviants, not just those you are comfortable with. For half a second... :d

I despise Rugby League but love Rugby Union.
I despise UFC & WWE but love boxing.
One of the best sports to watch live on TV is the Australian Netball League.

Swimming is a horrible sport to watch and we sunk way to much money chasing the easy gold medals instead of strengthening a wider range of sports when we had the chance.

Batman v Superman was a very good movie with good writing and great acting. Those who didn't like are, a) Marvel fanboys, b)pretentious critics, c) sheep who listen to said critics and their stupid friends who think Fast/Furious is a great series, d) people who dislike movies that require attention and thinking, and e) those who think the Avengers is too confronting for their precious spawn Suicide Squad will be a good movie When the DCEU is set up a few years down the road it will eclipse the MCEU financially and critically

For many of us, it was a huge part of our childhood. Growing up, I'd have read 50 or so Star Wars novels... I lived it, and I love every part of the franchise.

This seems to me to be a horribly popular opinion. I constantly hear people reeking of tall poppy syndrome whinging about about how much money elite sport (swimming in particular) gets. I reckon swimming is the healthiest sport there is, our strongest sport and deserving of all the funding it gets (plus more). Elite sport doesn't get that much funding in Australia, especially compared to in Britain. We need to keep funding sport (at elite and grassroots level). The thought of another Montréal Olympics is truly horrific. Edited by quickflick: 13/4/2016 01:07:54 AM
