Not a fan of Game of Thrones
Watched about 5 episodes. Few interesting moments, mostly boring.

If it was actually relevant for the story then sure, but just randomly having characters stand around naked for 5 minutes while they talk isn't necessary at all. If they had toned it down, or used implied sex then I would have kept watching it. I'm sure that is an extremely unpopular opinion though.

Not a fan either I'll always remember what my boss said to me, when I brought up Game of Thrones as a discussion topic over a beer after work one evening. "I tried to watch it, I really did. My housemate and I sat down, and started watching the first episode. I got 5 minutes in, and then there was a dwarf having a threesome, and that was it for me. I couldn't take it anymore. I didn't spend $40 on a TV series to watch Dwarf Porn, I can do that for free online!". I nearly choked on my beer laughing. Edited by Heineken: 15/4/2016 02:03:00 AM

- as much as I admire Keynes, his ecotp has done much harm especially insofar as it has allowed this perverse idea of crippling reperations to ferment. I encourage everyone to read the current scholarship; at no point was Germany unable to pay, for the most part the Versailles treaty was a moderate one when considered in light of German plans for post war Europe (I encourage everyone to research the Brest Litovsk treaty and the Septemberprogram. - it was German chauvinism and self deluding propaganda which manifestly drove the nationalist reaction in the interwar period and not, tangible realities of reperations.
The idea that the reparations were crippling is not perverse. It's accurate. I was under the impression that it would take until 1990 to pay back the reparations. paladisious suggests Merkel was only able to accomplish it in 2010. That may be scarcely more harsh than other peace treaties. But it's still terribly harsh. And boy did it facilitate Hitler's rise to power. Hitler would not have had nearly the amount of popular support without this. And not nearly as much popular support for expanding the Wehrmacht and the Luftwaffe. A family friend was a young lad in Sudetenland in the prewar years. I'm not sure exactly the extent of his support of the Third Reich. Suffice it to say, he was made to starve and utterly humiliated as a lad. When a whole population is treated this way, it creates a massive wedge in society. It means that extremist parties, which the Nazis were in the early days, get a lot more popular support. Ordinary people stop caring about things like ethics. They wan prosperity. And Hitler's ideology enabled this. And they want power. I encourage you and others to read the latest scholarship on the issue. Nothing about reperations was crippling. Germany's industrial capacity, and reduced military expenditure coupled with the renewed commerical exchanges (especially in the mid 20's) meant that Germany was well on its way to economic sustenance and prosperity irrespective of 'crippling' sanctions. If anything upset the Germans, it was the war guilt clause and the fact that few in the home front had been expecting defeat (indeed quite the opposite hence the dolschtosslegende).

Whats the deal with redefining of terms for a political purpose?
Ie marriage equality
Marriage equality? Isnt that where the wife has equal rights just like the husband and an entitlement of alimony if there is a divorce? :-k

People who care enough to post "they don't care" about an issue, really do care. e.g. Condemned666 on marriage equality

Most older people can probably see through it. Considering we've got a couple of other younger kids on here that love to repost here the same shit from reddit and other sources it shouldn't be that much of a shock.

White/ male privilege is the secular left's version of Original Sin. The climate change alarmist movement has been copy-pasted from the Catholic church's methods for compliance in the Dark Ages The regressive left are the new religious right Homeschooling isn't a bad idea, considering the state of the modern education system Ayrton Senna should have won 4 consecutive Formula 1 World titles, but was robbed in 1989 because Jean Marie Balestre (then FISA president) wanted to settle the Championship in favour of his pet, Alain Prost. "Progress" is an empty word and doesn't necessarily denote a good thing. If termites could talk, they'd call what they do "progress". ISIS and those involved with Stalinist Russia or Hitler's Germany would also have called what they did "progress". The Police do not have the common people's best interests at heart- their main focus is on issuing fines in order to raise revenue for the governments that they serve at state and federal level The fact that the Australian/ federal government adopts such a puritanical stance towards drinking, smoking, live entertainment, lockout laws and narcotics but is happy for our media space to be saturated with promotional material for betting agencies, proves that they don't actually care for our wellbeing and only care for revenue, under the guise of "looking out for our best interests" because they know that wowsers and puritans will lap that bullshit up People that hate Donald Trump and their attitude towards those that disagree with them, are one of the main reasons for Donald Trumps' popularity The State Rail Authority's 'Candy' colour scheme introduced in 1982 was the best colour scheme ever seen on Australian railways, and is better than anything that has come since. People who think the old brown/ yellow colour scheme was better are just old-timers too heavily dosed on nostalgia 1984, Animal Farm, Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals and 'Idiocracy' should all be essential texts for people before they reach the age of 25. Some illegal narcotics (weed, pills for instance) should be de-criminalised or legalised. This would save valuable Police time and cause a major dent into the money flowing back to the underworld. *edit* I would also add LSD to this list, and I would fully support advertising campaigns to advise people against the risks of using these substances heavily. It would also shut down the underachieving, drop-out stoner brigade who do little else but trip out and preach on with their "the man doesn't want you to be enlightened and break free of the system and think for yourself so you gotta take LSD to free your mind, man" conspiracy theory bullshit. I've ridden the Lucy train myself a couple of times and it was a fun experience, but fuck me if you think that's how you discover the meaning of life then you're well fucked... There are only two intellectually honest debate tactics: (a) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s facts, or (b) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s logic. All other debate tactics are intellectually dishonest - John T. Reed

I did like this section. I addition I would add that laws and rules are brought into action in this country expressly to win votes not make society safer or better.
