Interesting, thanks for providing a qualified opinion, even if it is bad news! Bit of a nothing story I feel. How quickly does Adelaide Oval's grass grow at this time of year? That is what the AFL will be looking at because they will want it at 28mm each and every week. For the few A-League games there are each year there they unfortunately don't have much of a bark in this fight. AFL brings in the dollars each week so in my opinion they get the say in these (trivial) matters

I did recall in the first game of the season when Adelaide and Victory played on the same venue, even with the short grass it was too quick for the players and affected the standard on the pitch.

And this is why Adelaide will always be overlooked when it comes to Socceroos games. No proper facilities, everything handmade for another code. At least Melbourne has AAMI, Perth NIB stadium and Brisbane got suncorp.... What does Adelaide have? Hindmarsh? Lol no wonder they're overlooked

Most of our squad has played quite a few games there before anyway WSW should have finished top if they wanted the game played to their demands
If it was 5+ years ago this game would have been at footy park for christ's sake  :-s  What demands have we made? Jog on little one

It's getting cut after the AFL, so it'll be fine for the A-League. The issue is that neither team will get to train and practise on the pitch. So any home "advantage" adelaide had is technically thrown out. Why is their home advantage thrown out? It's not as if WSW weren't going to train on there. Both not training there or both training there is the same result

Adelaide has played on the Oval before with it cut correctly so they will know how it's going to play/ Though it's a massive beatup over something pretty irrelevant.

All this means is that the teams can't train on the ground, they'll train at Coopers instead.

Or maybe it's way to thick and everyone will do their ACLs. That was when they were preparing for cricket season though and the grass way cut too low.
