+x+xIm dreading this now because i see a few dozen of these flogs coming back to south and we dont want them. its looks like mostly young deadshits. i doubt they would have the patience or commitment to be around anything that long. The guy outted himself on the NT facebook post. Give his name a click... it'll be the least surprised you've been in your life.

FOX Sports link: http://www.foxsports.com.au/football/a-league/melbourne-victory-active-support-group-north-terrace-cease-coordination-of-organised-support/news-story/9ed96249bdc4ed3040cb3c54188f2973?utm_source=Social&utm_medium=Facebook&utm_campaign=FoxFootballimo from a ex North Terrace active member now South End active member what a pathetic, shambolic, disgraceful, and unacceptable decision by the North Terrace Melbourne leaders they have got it so wrong and is an incorrect call by them they should of stayed & imo they should support the team on the field from the stands no matter what the score is. I officially moved to South End active area after 2014/15 A-League season after the North Terrace active support behaviour before the semi final on social media about seating allocation in protest of South End active members were moved to make it North/South End combined and also on level 3 at Etihad Stadium during the semi final against Melbourne City on Friday May 8th 2015 was definitely way out of line imo as a result I moved to South End fulltime due to there disgusting and unacceptable behaviour on that particular night.

So many people with so little clue commenting, scary considering some are our own fans.
This isn't about wanting to rip flares.
This isn't about wanting to look hard or be European try hards.
Neither is it about thinking that they're more important than the club.
This is about passionate fans wanting to support their team without being treated like caged animals. Police flooding the terrace, forced seating, police threatening to kick out anyone they deem 'unruly'.
The vast majority of these people who have walked away are normal fans like you or I, and like all their mates they go to the games with. Of course there are some fuckwits, but the Terrace has shown that it has evolved to the point where they were actually self policing.
Of course the club will go on 'without them', but this is a sad day for the club that this has had to happen again. A full and vibrant NT only serves to enhance the match day experience, and as always, it will be a surreal atmosphere without them, and lets hope their return can be soon.

Isn't that all still going to happen though? Except now you're doing exactly what the police want you to?

No big loss, seems like every year they have a sook or a whinge for attention then eventually come crawling back and then repeat the cycle. If they leave another group will step in and take their place and the again the cycle will continue. The Club will still keep plugging away, the loyal fans who go to support the team in a legal way with continue to do their thing and the club will still survive and prosper without the NT.

You just never know how this is going to go. An opportunity for some other groups to step up perhaps. Could be interesting to see what happens

In other news, the Red Army sub-group in Melbourne that formed ten minutes before the NT disbanded are now the largest active support group in Victoria.

On one hand, this is essentially Horda cracking the shits and leaving the active scene which has been well overdue as they have been a problem for far too long as the dominant and controlling crew within the ntc. On the other, I can't see any other group having the mentality to keep an independent active scene running AND putting up with all the VicPol and FFA bullshit.

I've been a Victory member for 7 years now and have been going to matches since season 1. The North Terrace have created awesome atmospheres and carved out a special place for themselves as part of the club and helped shape active support more in Australia more than anyone else. But their story is a mess. From the fall of BWB, the hijacking of the terrace by Horda and other violent gangs the north end at Melbourne is as much about ego today as anything else. Is it easy to run these groups? Hell no! What makes it worse is when corporate hacks dictate how you should behave and when police and the media paint you as thugs. This is the end result of internal and external pressure, it has been infuriating to watch, and at points, be a part of...
To all those egotistical football casuals who look for fights more than support the club. To those "supporters" who turn on their own for sharing a different view and trying to add something new, get the fuck out of my club.
To the football administrators who are forcing artificial behaviors and Orwellian controls, get the fuck away from my club.
Shits fucked.

Well this is entertaining.
So I haven't gone through it all yet, still reading the hilarious facebook posts, but a couple of things. First, the decision seems so absolutely petulant and self absorbed (and self defeating) that even with their history I find it a little hard to grasp. Yes, I do take a significant amount of pleasure when reading posts by arrogant morons who think the club, game and world owed them a favour, especially the idiots fuming about 'snitching' the guy who lit the flare.
However, to be fair, I didn't realise some of the restrictions on the terrace. Allocated seating and seemingly restrictive rules on movement and banners in the active supporter area... I haven't paid attention before but that sounds pretty crap on the surface. Will have a bit more of a look but my initial reaction is that they had some very good reasons to be upset, some absolutely idiotic and self indulgent reasons to be upset, and deeply over-reacted.

After all the protests last season from pretty much every club's active support we were told the FFA would change and work on certain issues active supporter had complained about. My question to anyone involved as a active supporter and in this case NT member is has the FFA done anything positive since last season or have they totally ignored all concerns in hope fans forget?

North Terrace will be back as organised as ever within weeks; this is just a reshuffle.
People are confusing the North Terrace Collective with the North Terrace as a whole.
NTC have had their chance, like BWB before them, and now it's someone else's go.

+xWatch as the atmosphere stagnates and becomes as bland as the rest of the league. Watch as the club tries to create a plastic "cheer squad" using bland chants and club bought, security approved materials. Watch as we become Sydney FC. RIP Melbourne. Says it all really. tards have always thought they were bigger than the club. I think this marks the annual dummy spit from NT over being told to behave like normal humans when outside the house.

What's the bet some numpty will lite a flair in protest, probably at the southend, or in the city supporter section tomorrow night.
I wonder if this behavior will be the catalyst for FFA to call a Sydney Final should Victory win, hang on, Lowys still part own Sydney FC, of course its a Sydney Final

Shame it has come to this, but hopefully it will be a good thing in the long run. The problem is common sense isn't that common with a few in the terrace nowadays. You cannot cry oppressed and then red light yourself, then sook about facing punishment. It's thorughly embarrasing that some of those blow in teenage muzza morons are attempting to speak on behalf of the terrace and its ideals on the NT facebook page.

+xHow do they know NT was responsible for the flare ? it could have been any random I tell you what, the amount of random young Aussies who manage to infiltrate an Active Supporter group to rip a flare and then disappear tells me our National Sport ought to be espionage! :-/

RIP Melbourne. too dramatic with the passage of time a resolution will be found whether it be a re-establishment of this group or the creation of a new group these are life lessons that we all need to learn from
