Great news The values or whatever that the NT were founded on that no longer exist were a detriment to the game Saving our club from an extended suspended sentence was the straw that broke the camel's back for these "fans" who used football as an excuse to act in their own interests and make headlines for themselves They continue to think they have done our code some kind of favour and that we owe them something Don't let the door hit the flares concealed in your ass on the way out

+xSo many people with so little clue commenting, scary considering some are our own fans. This isn't about wanting to rip flares. This isn't about wanting to look hard or be European try hards. Neither is it about thinking that they're more important than the club. This is about passionate fans wanting to support their team without being treated like caged animals. Police flooding the terrace, forced seating, police threatening to kick out anyone they deem 'unruly'. The vast majority of these people who have walked away are normal fans like you or I, and like all their mates they go to the games with. Of course there are some fuckwits, but the Terrace has shown that it has evolved to the point where they were actually self policing. Of course the club will go on 'without them', but this is a sad day for the club that this has had to happen again. A full and vibrant NT only serves to enhance the match day experience, and as always, it will be a surreal atmosphere without them, and lets hope their return can be soon. fair enough, but unfortunately that message is being somewhat drowned out by cockheads that want to rip flares and beat their chest.

They should all gather at Gosch's Paddock loaded up on PCP and crack, beat the shit out of each other en masse, and then the survivors reform a new cheer squad, table their demands to the suits and carry on supporting their football club without their thumb up each other's asses

Many can make their own assesment of how it's gone since they've had the reigns.

There could be a book written about the politics of the NT, it wouldn't be a particularly interesting one though.
I just hope the recent trend towards self-policing is something whoever takes the reigns up continues on with. I think they'll get a lot more joy out of the cops/the FFA if it's a principle they stick to.

On one hand they say "it's not our job to stop people doing the wrong thing we are not police" - then when the cops or security hassle them it's all "we can self police". I don't like law & I quite like pyro - but how many times do we need to be warned? 1 day they were all saying they shouldn't be treated like criminals and then less than 24 hours later they're posing for photos on social media with loot from rival fans. I don't understand the issue with self policing. Doesnt everyone in society have a responsibility to a) not do the wrong thing, and b) i just thought it would be common sense that if you saw someone doing something dangerous to step in and stop them. This bullshit "its not our job to self police"... it really is. You don't have to act like a police officer but you can do other things. Just be decent people for a change. I know there are dickheads, and of course kids will be kids and do stupid things but there are enough adults in the nt that could make adult decisions, you don't even have to be a goody two shoes. Oh well... at least the club moving our seats down to the south end turned into a good move, rather than the nt being quiet like it was a few years ago
