I don't think you're in the minority here, combination play was the best it's been all season. Final ball and taking our chances is what's letting us down. Not getting enough from Kosta and Troisi, which in turn leads to Leroy taking too much on and not enough service for Bes. Bes is having to come deep to get the ball now. It worked because Kosta and Troisi are out of form.

I said a few weeks ago, we will still make the top 4 despite our shitness and we are almost already there. We'll probably finish 3rd from here. it makes a mockery of the league and just shows how far ahead Sydney are. 

Might be in the minority here, but I thought our combination play was the best its been this season at times last night. 

One thing I noticed last night and the week before was that Geria had far more license to bomb forward. He has a great understanding with Kosta and they linked up well. Geria playing higher up gives Kosta more freedom to play closer with Troisi and Bes, it just didn't come off for him at times. 

We also did better at finding Troisi in the half pockets of space he always gets himself in. Williams and Milligan need to do this far more often as every time we got it through ot him, he could slip it through to George or Kosta on the wings. 

George is really really unfit or carrying something as he couldnt run in the 60th minute.

This is still the poorest Mvfc side I have seen in a long time,  no spark, a lot of possession at times with no end product. A lot of player's taking a wage, who are finished Kosta, Valeri, Berisha, Troisi, Milligan, Sanchez is a waste of a visa spot, a terrible signing,  Georges early promise is fading.

The defense is better than I thought it would be,  Geria has had his best season in 3 years, Deng is doing well, as is Williams,  not convinced by Nigro as a left back or Broxham. 

We will continue to win games, but when you watch a team like Newcastle and the positivity in their approach and the exciting signings they have made, it makes me wonder,  how victory couldn't find that type of player instead of going back to old former player's. 

Yup, LG has got a good cross onhim but after 30 attempts and no pay off its time to change it up.

Any team with beanpole CB just have to stand there.

Yep, a lot more of the same old Plan A; reliance on wide play at all costs and isolating Berisha and laughably late substitutions.

A lot of the same problems remain, but three points is three points.

I think all that win did was paper over the cracks. We are still entirely one-dimensional going forward, I really think we need to switch up our structure. Teams have figured out our 4-3-3, as Berisha is often times completely isolated at times and has to drop super deep to get the ball.

I think we should move over to a flat 4-4-1-1, George and Barba on the wings, but play Troisi almost as a second striker to link up with Bes. Berisha has pretty good link up play, I think having someone closer to work with him would suit him well.

Also, surely everyone else sees that George was cooked at about the 55th minute mark? He couldn't break away and gave away numerous fouls purely due to fatigue. I don't get why Musky doesn't see this and throw some subs on earlier.

Can't confirm nor deny, but if Popa were to take over from Muscy he wouldn't have to do his clean out, it would already be done for him!

Can anybody update the following (I'm sure it has a few mistakes as I'm just going from memory)?
Out of contract at the end of this season: Berisha, Austin, Kosta, George,  Atihu, Milligan, Valeri, Sanchez, Broxham, Nigro, Williams, Donachie, Hope, Theoharus, McGlip, Waring, Thomas, Acton, Muscat.
Contracted for next season: Troisi, Ingham, Deng, Geria (also season after).

It's deceptive because we have some good quality. We just haven't recruited well in a few positions. Also almost a quarter of our squad are DM's... Let that sink in for a bit.
