50 shots off target (and 25 on) for the season. In comparison Rojas had 37 shots in total, of which 27 were on target.
It's possible that he managed the record for shots off target in a season.

People can talk about poor culture at city, but when you have a foreign marquee playing left back and the constant selection of Malik at cb or def mid, you have to question the mentality of the managers. We at Victory have had consistent selection for the past 3 seasons, it has brought us good results, but the past 2 seasons, we have been missing something, that would push us to the ultimate success. Again we will up near the top, but we are going to need something more to be champions again.

+xNo disrespect to Milligan but if clubs a signing players like him on marquee contracts it's really poor. That goes for all Aleague clubs. No way near a marquee he was really poor last season for his club in the UAE.Same goes for Trolisi bewildering he is a marquee. On the other hand Mariners sign a player Brama, played all his career in top flight Dutch league and won a championship there etc played europa league his club ginished 4th last season to a normal contract. That is good business. Troisi is not a marquee.

+xBe interesting to see what team Kev puts out after the Shanghai trip, there's decent days off to recover but can see the same cookie cutter team being put out. -PB I can see Nigro following the footsteps of other home grown players by being snapped up by another club due to lack of opportunities.

+xhttps://www.melbournevictory.com.au/news/victory-secures-funding-maribyrnong-academy-siteMelbourne Victory welcomes today’s announcement by the Andrews Labor Government confirming it will commit $10 million to assist in developing the home of Melbourne Victory’s W-League as well as its Academy squads.
The facilities, to be located at Maribyrnong’s Footscray Park and Robert Barrett Reserve, will provide the club’s womens and Academy programs, consisting of Victoria’s best young male and female players, with world class training and playing facilities, less than five kilometres from the CBD.
Melbourne Victory Chairman Anthony Di Pietro said, “This is a very proud day for our football club and certainly one of the most significant in its history.”
“The facilities at the two sites, will not only be home to our elite program for women, they will also form a major part of our Youth Academy for talented juniors – both male and female – where we hope to shape the careers of future Matildas and Socceroos.”
“Football participation levels have never been higher, so this facility is going to have an incredibly positive impact on the community and we thank the Andrews Labor Government and Maribyrnong City Council for their support,” Mr Di Pietro added.
Footscray Park will feature three flood-lit pitches, one with a natural surface and two hybrids, 6 male and female change rooms, match day areas for all stakeholders, including undercover viewing areas for 500 spectators, as well as administration and education areas for coaches, staff and players. Robert Barrett Reserve will add a further two training pitches, to support the club’s expanding women’s and youth programs.
Minister for Sport John Eren said, “We know we need to do more to support women and girls in professional sport, so we are proud to be providing a home for Melbourne Victory’s fantastic W-League team.”
“We are levelling the playing field for women’s sport – upgrading changerooms, grounds and elite facilities across Victoria.
”By having the football facilities adjacent to Victoria University Sports Precinct, Victory's Women's and Academy teams will have even more access to the University's Sports Science staff, students and resources. "Victoria University's High Performance Sport partnership with Melbourne Victory has been in place for a decade," said a delighted Professor Hans Westerbeek.
"This development will enhance it even further and also increase our community engagement.
"Blue Light Victoria, an organisation dedicated to facilitating positive engagement between young people and Victoria Police, will also be located at the Footscray Park site. Melbourne Victory and Blue Light Victoria will work together to engage young people, demonstrating another very important partnership that will deliver significant community outcomes though the facility.
This announcement was made last Friday and hardly anyone in the football world is talking about it. While $10 million is nothing compared to the $500 million AFL is getting, its still nothing to sneeze at either. our long mooted Football Academy is finally coming. Its my understanding that the total cost is $18 million with Victory and Maribyrnong council chipping in the rest. The partnership with Victoria Police is also interesting. It's great news for the club with the academy finally getting funding. But the club need to get better at signing our youth talent to long term deals. There's no point spending years developing players who go off overseas for free.

+x+xObviously depending on the new manager's judgment, but would be good to see Hope loaned out - CCM maybe? At this stage I think he's clearly got some talent but needs more gametime. Yeah we wouldn't take him. Stajcic would most likely sign someone from the NPL, such as our former Academy player Steve Whyte. Idk, you guys did sign Galifuoco.

+x+xAny news on Kurz being 100% confirmed? Also saw a report that Antonis is looking to leave. Seems like it will be a very different Victory next season... Antonis still has a year left on his contract so it will be very unlikely he goes to another HAL club next season, but could potentially take an overseas offer. SFC, WSW and Macarthur have all apparently expressed interest in signing him for the 20/21 season. Apparently Antonis wants to be closer to family. I hate that excuse, Melbourne is too far away from his family in Sydney but Greece isn't (previously) so many use this excuse. Having said that hopefully gets another solid year then does go overseas.

Get some sad faced african kids in the paper while holding their footballs.
The inner-city wankers will do cartwheels and backflips to get it approved

+xHas to go.
There doesn’t even appear to be any positive signs. Haven't seen or heard a single thing from Kurz to suggest he can take MVFC forward. Should have been sacked yesterday morning!

+xSeems like the Vuck are pretty good with not getting in the way of players chasing opportunities in other leagues...apart from the Milligan saga of course. Palace low balled.
