+xHow was Storm Roux for you guys towards the end of the season? Strong rumours he's signing back with CCM for next season but I haven't watched him play in a little while. I seriously think I am a better footballer than him.

https://www.melbournevictory.com.au/news/popovic-appoints-assistant-coachesPopovic appoints Assistant CoachesMelbourne Victory is pleased to announce A-League Head Coach, Tony Popovic, has finalised the appointment of his two Assistant Coaches for the 2021/22 season. Former Serie A player and previous Head Coach of Apololonia Fier, Fabrizio Cammarata, and highly-regarded Australian coach, Luciano Trani, most recently of Sint-Truidense in the Belgian top flight, have been appointed as Assistant Coaches for the upcoming season. Cammarata has coached in Italy, Russia, Oman and Albania while Trani has a wealth of coaching experience within Australian as well as in Belgium spanning 20 years. Victory A-League Head Coach, Tony Popovic, said Cammarata and Trani will be key to rebuilding the Victory team and driving success. “I am extremely pleased to announce that Fabrizio and Luciano will be joining me at Melbourne Victory this season,” Popovic said. “Both Coaches will bring a unique set of skills to Melbourne Victory,” Popovic said. “Fabrizio has played at the highest level in Italy and is passionate about how he can contribute to the Club, players and staff. “He is an ambitious coach who will use his playing and coaching experience to drive our playing group and their work ethic. He sees the role as a huge opportunity for personal growth but also to apply his knowledge to drive success at Melbourne Victory.” “Luciano and I have worked together at Perth Glory and he is a fantastic person,” Popovic said. “He has extensive experience within football in Australia and the A-League as well as recent coaching experience from Europe. “Luciano will be an asset to the team from a cultural point of view as well as through his football knowledge. He knows the areas we need to improve to be successful and he’s ready to bring his experience, knowledge and passion to the club.” Popovic and Trani’s first official day at Melbourne Victory is today with Cammarata due to start in mid-July.

Reason for that, bloke knows his stuff but gets on the nerves very quickly, will only get a job with his mates, as know one else will hire him, especially after the Scott Miller issue at the Jets. I wonder if Marchioli will stay on, was pumped when he got the role at victory but things didnt work out with Brebs

plz Sorry Perth Glory fans, Chris Ikonimidis has been contacted by Melbourne Victory. He still has an offer of a contract from Perth Glory which has yet to be accepted.... If you were him, where would you go? https://twitter.com/Its_Shanen/status/1410815583277535232

The Chinese clubs have been found wanting in the acl They sent their reserves and youth players, as the CSL will be played simultaneously. The Guangzhou average age for the ACL is 20 years old, and the coach in charge is the assistant to the assistant of the Reserves, so it's not even their Reserves manager or Reserves assistant manager taking charge of it.

Guangzhou decided the league was more important to them, but they've at least decided they'd complete their obligations to the competition by sending a team, unlike the A-League clubs that elected to withdraw. I believe that Beijing Guoan also elected to do the same, albeit their hub is in Uzbekistan.

Whilst the league was still going on. The csl have much bigger sqauds. Still a poor excuse. As If it was aleague teams they'll be mocked.

The only realistic option available to the clubs that were in the finals was to send their youth squads, and that wasn’t going to end well either.
It was always going to be hard to try and balance all requirements.

Not surprising, but Broxham has extended his contract for another year. Considering 50% of his salary is exempt from the cap, it's a bit of a no brainer for MV. https://www.melbournevictory.com.au/news/broxham-signs-contract-extension

But do we have some record in signing the same players?

Yeah I can see why he’d do it, but they play both same positions and butterfield is a lot better passer and mover IMO. Anyway, hopefully he’s a success.
