A second division and in particular pro/rel, they couldn't see even in their dreams till recent times. Now all of a sudden its a probability. I still feel that the AAFC were silenced to not start trotting out a blueprint for the Second Division by owners and the like.

Maybe the APL unbundled United squad can get involved and sort it out? They really care about football in Australia and have always championed a fully connected pyramid of clubs with promotion and relegation....

I heard a pod with Galatas on the 8th and he said more details this week. The NSD would run alongside the A-League. As far as start dates he said the AAFC target date is 2022 if the A-League is a summer comp, 2023 if the A-League is a winter comp. 

The Apl, including the oversee-er sweet FA, would not have the stomach to ask for $15mil from ex NSL teams to gain entry, to get to 16 teams either. This would be another reason why they won't be seriously considered for entry.
I'd like to think these clubs would be in with a shout, and not be asked to fork it or walk it as well.

Oh I've well and truly given up on P/R in this country.. Dont even know if I want it anymore to be honest. A National comp that the State and NPL comps below it feed into is more than enough for me...  Sadly, despite many fans interest you are probably right though, just wasting my time holding my breath for dreams that wont happen. Oh well there is always NPL I suppose.

I don't know what the truth is, but from the outside looks like there just aren't enough people in positions of power pushing hard for this, and that's just the 2nd division, don't even worry about P&R

Galatas on a recent podcast said that the aafc's disclosure will be revealed this week. I'd say the blueprint was not handed down by the aliens last week so who can blame him.
Don't know why Lederer put in his negative 20 cents worth about delaying 2nd division, I take it as obviously meaning the concept would be eating into his profit margins especially now that he is a partner in propping up the Jets. 
The Apl could charge $15 mil for each new franchise, with sweet FA's blessing if the 2nd div is purposely delayed, even for another 7 years as a matter of fact.'
We know that the 2nd div would obviously not begin with pro-rel, that would happen down the line. Galatas mentioned 2nd div could start up next season.

Looks like they meant Jan 8th 2022 ... Very disappointing still no word.

One of those clubs happens to be South Melbourne Hellas ... what do you do? What DO you do Paulie?
