I feel this lineup this could be best lineup when everyone is fully fit and available.

                            Ryan

Leckie    Sainsbury    Degenek   Behich

                Mooy           Jeggo

Hrustic                Irvine              Arzani

                       Rogic(False 9)

Potential Subs: Ikonomidis for Irvine, Mabil for either Arzani or Hrustic, Luongo for Jeggo.

If we want to fit in Leckie then Grant may have to left on the bench, otherwise Leckie on the bench.

Souttar on the bench, throw him as a pinch hitter if we need a late goal, i don't think he's ready to start especially in the big games.

JMac/Taggart for Rogic or Hrustic/Irvine if we need a striker out there.

But i feel that front 4 could do damage.

As much as i am a fan of Sainsbury when he is at his best he is currently not doing anything to justify his selection over our other options

I have a feeling he will start because of Arnie not because of his form or where he's playing but i do feel he's our best defender when he's at his best.

Which Australian CB do you think is better than Sains?

Agree he’s been below his usual level of late, but it’s not like there’s a standout alternative to partner Degenek.

Assuming all fit I would move Jeggo to the bench, Irvine to take his spot. Rogic to take Irvines spot and Boyle to play up front.

Will be interesting to see how Souttar goes against better opposition.

Brandon Rodger used to put Rogic as a striker for 1 game. He couldnt play n aweful.  Rogic is best around to box as an attacking middield.

Rogic has underperformed for years for the NT.  I honestly don't think he's a starting 11 player any more.

Cahill’s first game as striker was against Japan under Verbeek, it was pretty awful too.

Personally think Irvine or even Mabil are the players to move to striker, not Rogic though.

Cahill was good in the air , quick n can be a poacher. Different style of player. Rogic is terrible in the air n need space to run.

Saudi Arabia are really struggling in this phase of qualifying. Palestine has really thrown a spanner in the works in group D. If one of Uzbekistan or Saudi Arabia doesn't qualify from this phase in 2nd place that is a massive boost for our chances of qualifying for the WC.

Dougall returning strongly and Duke doing well. Meanwhile Amini is doing everything required in a club shirt but less so in a gold one. Duke is very strong and Maclaren can't be faulted despite weak opposition. Decisions decisions.

Leckie is not a right back, can people stop naming him as one

Duke and McGree knocking on the door of the next squad.

Milligan should be included as a centre back which will allow us to select another central midfielder.

Grant is doing too well to consider Leckie in that spot. McGree is on fire also. Jeggo has been solid also. It's great everyone is lifting and giving Arnie a headache.

Played his best football as a RWB for both Australia and Hertha

I'd just like to talk about the massive shift all of a sudden we've had with in-form Aussie strikers.

Are we comfortable with the current batch of Maclaren, Taggart, Giannou and Rukavytsya? That's a fair bit of depth.

Chuck in Duke for extra extra depth and all of a sudden we have 5 I would say quality strikers. In top-form to boot.

Would be nice to see them having similar success but in higher quality leagues across the board. Really our striker problem has been so bad in recent years the only way was up.

That's very true. But I mean like to have Taggart top scorer in the K-League and Macca looking like he's really turned a corner with his inter-play. Once we begin to play against teams that won't just sit-back, I think we could begin to start troubling teams again.

So Rogic is back. Pissed off Lennon seems to prefer PEAK FITNESS over quality.

Arzani was 'apparently' supposed to be relying on this Jordan game to prove how good he is for Celtic HAHA.
https://www.67hailhail.com/news/australia-selection-could-tell-celtic-fans-a-lot-about-daniel-arzani/

Is Trent Sainsbury even playing regularly? I gather so since GA has called him up. God knows what universe his head is in these days
I see PSV have dropped even worse position than when both Behich and Sains were there, currently 3rd on table with 7 wins and losing their game right now to some shit team.
haha

Promising Souttar is, Boyle is back, Brad Smith. Why the fuck Ikon isn't there I suspect GA is showing his dopey idiot side after seeing Borello on that 24 player list.

Taggart could just score an absolute pile of goals against these pissweak Asian teams. 10 games 5 goals guys scoring at will now.

I wonder if Smith managed to get on a late Sunday flight? My hunch is the 10am flight to Chicago and then a long one to Amman.

I wonder how it works. Does someone book everything on behalf of the players and they simply follow the itinerary?

Yea they do. A close relative of mine plays for the futsalroos in Vietnam recently and the manager books literally everything and just tells them ‘be at the airport at this time’
