Wow some tripe stuff all round bar Newcastle's midweek crowd. This will have to be the worst season on track for crowds in quiet some time.

It’s boring watching 10 teams play each other three times a season for 6 final spots. We need two new teams ASAP

Lakesides 12k capacity looks pretty good right about now, aside from victory does anyone really need a stadium that's any bigger? 15k at most covers the league in its current shape. Expansion teams aren't gonna be getting any better.

S13R08: Jerks v Victory = 8427 (Thursday night) Melbourne v Glory = 6963 Phoenix v CCM = 5679 SFC v Roar = 10044 (prime time) Adelaide v WSW = 8210
A few weeks back when Newcastle had torrential rain + a music festival on, The World Game and many people wrote that our crowd (of 6k or so) was poor and not good enough.
Where are the articles for the entire rest of the league now? Particularly given the fact the Jerks home game was a school night Thursday, I claim that was the best crowd of the round by miles.

+x+xA lot of them will be going back too. Indeed, if they keep playing this way the crowds will increase in big numbers, happy for their fans. Or we can follow Sydney FC's example and just not show up regardless of results.

Last season, SFC had a average home crowd of 16,001. - record-breaking year, won the premiership, won the championship, dominated everything before them.
This season, after all that, their home crowd has DROPPED.
Yep, their numbers are down, to 15,793, and that's at the START of the season, and includes a HOME DERBY.
embarrassing.

@ City Sam
Ha Ha. Low expectations all around then.
Recon it’s the “Star Wars Round” when Stephen Lowy steps out of a scaled down replica of the Death Star and says “Gianni ..... I am your father” - end of normalisation!!

8,215 WSW/Brisbane
7,021 AU/SFC
Sadly the FFA remain distracted but they’ll get around to doing something next year if they’re still in power 😞

If the league were just in decline we'd follow the trend downwards. This isn't trending. We're breaking out to the down side. It's actually good news. We can see the politics has sabotaged the season, rather than just general lack of interest.
I now believe it likely we will fall to season 11/12 levels this season.

Agreed. Although it’s painful it significantly weakens Lowy’s position.

8,115 crowd for CCM. Despite pessimistic wankers slagging off the coast for shit crowds. They would be paying less than half of what Sydney and Brisbane pay to play. Same respect goes out to NUJ and Perth fans.

Or they have decided to not even bother opening those sections yet. Sorry I know it sounds very pessimistic but seriously with how things are going at FFA it's no wonder people are tuning out. We don't even know what the future holds yet. But I am hoping for a an EPL esque style league with share ownership.
