Burton had all the big plays that mattered tonight, but they’ll give the CC to Chin for the fairy-tail.
Who f***in’ cares, we got a true GF player and The Panthers don’t.

Are you fucking kidding?????????!!!!!
If you follow a single tweet of his you’re worried about who’ll he be cheering for Dogs v Panthers 2022.

For some reason, grand final presentations remind of the time manly won and Greenberg driving across the harbour Bridge to sign Hasler that very night.

Well Ivan just rubbed his face in it. Gus was trying to pretend he wasn't pro penrith. The ref got most decisions right... Penrith just fumbled a few opportunities, otherwise they probably win a bit easier Souths did well to hang in. Hopefully someone tossed the f'n bell in the river.

It’s been a penalty all year, you yourself have bitched about it… And you’ll bitch about it again when Sutton bins Hethers or Thommo in the first game he refs us next year… It also felt to me like Panthers were given way too leniency with laying in the tackle and second efforts the whole game…

I mean….
The blokes been talking Panthers non- stop, while he’s OUR boss, for a f***in. month.
Had them winning 4 tries to 2 and a thousand reasons why they deserved it.
Been making me want to vomit.

At least it was a good game, almost could be said great game.
I hope The NRL take note the best games they had all season were in the finals and why they were.

Really, the best games all season were < 36 points, even < 24 points and tonight was an example of that, so was last week.
Defence is not a dirty word.
They found the balance at last, too late but better than never, don’t lose it.

Does anybody really think Cleary a worthy CC winner?
I think he was very average, as he was all the final series.
Burton was better, Chricton was better, even the dud of dud Panthers ( I’m f***ed if I know how he makes the team) Dylan Edwards was better.
And I reckon I could name another half dozen Panthers and Rabbits better.
If you say it was because of his kicking game, most of his kicks were duds.
Anyway…. Who gives a fuck I suppose.

Did you hear the commentary? It was either purposely divisive or he honestly didnt want an Ivan team to win. I dont follow twitter so wouldnt know who he angles his opinion towards, but tonight he was either very pro Souths or very anti Panthers

Ive been VERY much against this BS rule and have vented my frustrations on it nearly every week. I wont stop till they change the rule. Id be happy if they rule on it the same as as tonight. Not because its a GF. Coz its the right fekking rule

Burto looks the goods though. Really stood up in a big game. We will win the comp with him in the halves. I can’t wait to watch him next year

+xAt least it was a good game, almost could be said great game. I hope The NRL take note the best games they had all season were in the finals and why they were. Agreed. There was too much latitude in tackles given in the prelim, but tonight was very well refereed. He pinged penrith when he had to. Ivan obviously told his players to slow the ruck in the halt time speech coz they were all over souths for the first few sets but ref was onto them and gave Souths 6 agains which quickly changed their attitude.

Ofahiki Ogden pinched for having bags of white powder...in Waverley...they should suspend the Rorters for sponsoring drugs in their area. Would never happen in Belmore. There were a lot of good performances tonight but no great ones...anyone of 3-4 (including Burton) could have got Churchill medal but not worried it went to Cleary.

I dont follow twitter so wouldnt know who he angles his opinion towards, but tonight he was either very pro Souths or very anti Panthers His commentary was based on the game. He wanted Panthers to win, if he hopes The Dogs to win half as much in the future I’ll be happy. And btw, he makes no apologies about it. Explains he’s a life member and spent 20 years there over a few stints. I don’t begrudge him, just hope want the same passion for The Dogs, which I think is there as I think he’s it’s the job he really always wanted - Peter Moore’s job.

I think he was one of Penriths 4 players that decided the game. Without a standout, he was always going to get it. It would have been out of him, Burton, Kikau, Yeo, Edwards - in that order.

Are you pissed? Cleary was brilliant. Everything Penrith did well came off him. Other than getting parmed off for a try he did everything right.

Im just glad Luai wasnt given that crusher penalty he was looking for....

Edwards is a good player, did have a bad game a few weeks back. Multiple Panthers carrying injuries, Cleary, Edwards, JFH, Leotaa?, Too?. They have been a bit clunky in attack since SOO, but the workrate in defence was the best in the comp. Well deserved winners, Cleary had a great kicking game, most of his kicks very well placed, a few repeat sets, close calls for tries and field position dominance... The attack did look slicker earlier.... no doubt that the different rules shifted the balance betweem defence and attack.

Yeah pretty good picks, and as many Souths players, all in front of Chin. Fairy Tail pick.

Good in attack and defence made some key plays, no errors that I noticed. Most other players made some errors or bad decisions. But Cleary's kicking game was a definite factor in the win....

Good thing about Phillip Gould is that his 5 year plan worked. We're still waiting for our 2 premierships by 2020 plan by Raylene and Des.

And that’s the thing that won it for them tonight. Outstanding defence in the middle while exhausted. Outstanding scramble the same. Been what’s got them through the semis. Defence wins comps, Attack gives you the chance to be there.

+xAm surprised Anna Alphabet didn’t come out during the half time break and threaten to send the crowd home unless they put their masks on… A more competent premier and the game could have been in Sydney. The whole comp for that matter.

In all this NRL fanfare, Dman forgot to mention that Perth Glory has signed Daniel Sturridge on a 1 year deal for this upcoming season.....
Thats an attacking front 3 of Sturridge, Fornaroli and Keough....

I think both sides showed great defence. 2 tries each with Penrith having the bulk of possession speaks pretty highly of Souths defence too.
