Great fight from England, but I think we gave them a chance. Overall 2 good games of Test Cricket and the Aussie side is playing well.

Is it just me, or is this going to be one of the most lopsided Ashes series in recent years? Its like watching a Dogs game of the last few years where we get beaten by 1 try.... people point to the 1 or 2 half chances near the line or 1 or 2 marginal calls made by the refs and they feel we got dudded. They dont look at the fact we were slaughtered in all key stat measures and the score margin could easily have been 40 points.

I agree with Root they have bowled thw wrong length fielded badly and battled badly a lot of the time. The effort today batting and bowling yesterday is what they need.

If only we had declared at 250 in the first test and enforced the follow on on this one.. we could've beat em months ago ..

How are you suppose to make a contest out of a dud series if you end the game within 4 days? Promoters would be calling for your head! Might even sit you next to a confirned covid case at dinner one night....

Adelaide was always the Test where a draw was inevitable...Bobby Simpson once scored 311 for the Aussies and ken Barrington scored 256 for the Poms in reply. The fact that we were able to wallop the Poms by best part of 300 when 2 of our best strike bowlers were out is pretty good indicator how superior the Aussies are. Wood will have to come in for the Poms...he is the only one with a bit of real pace. The rest struggle to get over 130kph and whilst accurate that doesn't win Tests. If there was a case for appealing a DRS is would have to be the Stuart Broad not out.

They looked dangerous in the 2nd innings, but there was plenty of assistance for bowlers, seam and spin. On what I have seen so far, I don't rate their spinner. Warner, Labs, Smithy, Head, Green and Carey looking good with the bat. Overall best batting line up we have had for a while. On a flat deck, I can't see how the poms can get us out cheaply. On a wicket with either swing/seam or spin, our attack should be too good for their batting. We could win this series 3-0, or 4-0, the poms need something special to get a win. I do think they will be more competitive and disciplined, so we may need to work harder from here on. I never tire of beating the poms at cricket and Parra at NRL, and I have really enjoyed a lot of both over the years.

Reports are for ‘22 six again will only apply in the opp half, in your own half you get the penalty.
Can’t say it was my suggestion, but it was the best suggestion I repeated.
This will work much, much better.

Looking forward to '22 should be a good year.

This will work much, much better. Our team will benefit more than most from this rule. We have been struggling to get to other side of halfway when with the ball. Hopefully we can play it to our advantage.

Watching "Don't Look Up"on Netflix...with Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence not to mention Meryl Streep. It is possibly too close to the truth....USA is seen as totally fekked. They discover a huge meteor which will 100% hit earth in 6 months time but no one really gives a toss...they are more concerned with bimbo popstars on instagram.. At the stage where a rocket which was sent to divert the meteor is turned back because a Steve Jobs' style character wants to mine the mineral wealth contained therein. Leonardo is great as is Jennnifer Lawrence...dowdied down but still a good sort.

For some reason I can’t paste the link on my IPAD, but just put in the YouTube search “Repairing Willie Nelson’s Trigger” and it’ll come up, in two parts. That’s one hell of a guitar, how old mate keep it together is beautiful really.

Perhaps Willie's best known album in general is "Stardust", a superb covers album..but a few years later he made "Moonlight Becomes You", a jazzier similar style album. The tone of Trigger at 2:50 is so uniquely grand. Not many signatures easy to read...Roger Miller remains.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYe4cVeXBpI
