Flanno is that type of player, sadly currently a long way off being good enough.

Of the rest, Wakeham is closer to being a real half.

A young half needs to be really good to come into the NRL and dominate from day 1. The next rung down eventually make it after about 3 seasons of NRL.

The quickest fix is an experienced half, good ones are not cheap, cheap ones often have injury issues.

I can't think of anyone we could get for 2022.

I just don't  want to hamstring Burton too much. I see him more of a Wighton than a Reynolds  or Cleary

I was just looking at the league ladder and as the ladder stands 'at the moment' the Warriors can drop from 4th to 8th with a WIN...... how bizarre.

Halfback Bailey Hayward captain of the Flegg Team sounds like a good player.

2 try assists of kicks and an individual running try in 30-16 win,

Might be a prospect.

2nd best result possible....looking at predictions on some rugby league site some people would just give the title to the Rorters now and similarly award us the wooden spoon. As always I start out with the prediction we will go through the season undefeated. One year we actually won the first 3 games...2011 perhaps ...I was in a sweat

Reserve grade had a win, 24-16.

One more result will be a great start of the season.

What's the go with the footy? ... has V'Landys had a rocket shoved up his arse because there has been fvckall 6 agains all weekend and some reasonably close scorlines and some very watchable football. Does that mean our game being the last of the round he will give his whistleblowers free reign to screw us over, or will we get to see how the Dogs are performing in 'real time'.

I see him more as a Fitler. Easily the clearest to him and Wally that I can remember. I know thats a huge rating. But he has such a similar game to both of them. I’ll also add that he is quicker than both. And I think we should sign him for life.

Melbourne storm what a crock of sh!t they win off a try that was a definite forward pass and the next one that puts the game to bed was as dodgy as all fvck. I guess arse beats class any day.

Hope you're right. We haven't seen any evidence of ball playing ability yet. Was never his role at Penrith even with their halves out.

The rule was amended. Inside your own 40 now gives you a penalty. A good change that takes away the exploitation of the rule by teams specifically like Penrith, Easts and Melb who’d deliberately give away 1 or 2 restarts early tackle count when they had a team on their line to keep them there.

I understand the new ruling but in general there were very few set restarts and the games flowed naturally.

A partial move back to the old rules.
The flaw with the six again is the ref basically takes over captaincy.

You bet dman. There was nothing too amiss with the old rules and I can't understsnd why Mr Rugba Leeg had to V'Lad the rules. While just like a new tax it will be impossible to reverse the decision I don't know how the NRL are going to make it not only workable but a fair and honest because the referees disgression can influence the result of a match. There will come a time when these rules will ruin the premiership chances of a team.

It’d be a brave team that tries it. Refs have discretionary powers if they think it’s a professional foul or repeat offences.

I think they got the mix… almost… right. For the reason above I’d also say attacking team gets the penalty in the defending teams 20m. In effect six again from defending 40 to attacking 20

But I’m willing to see how it goes as is.

Overall six again is better than 20 penalties. Just got to get the balance right and they’re almost there. And if refs are brave enough they are there.
