+xWe're not far off a decent footy team... I think after a few weeks of shuffling it's clear JMK should be shuffled to the bench... Anyone have an idea of how Cook is going in Reggie's or do I need to join TK to get an opinion (emoji)???... According to TK, Cook hasn't really set the world on fire in reggies and they also lost today. But surely he can't be worse than JMK.

+xBe keen to hear the Mocks thoughts on Flannos game but he's also establishing his self elsewhere... #thumbsup... #laughingcryingface... Flanno did ok today as a halfback of a losing team. His test will come in games we are hoping to win. I don't think he can steer the team to victory. I think the team took it upon itself to improve from previous weeks and did some promising things today but were victims of their own poor errors and execution. Lets see how he goes next week. Fir his and the teams sake, I hope Barrett has realised the issues lie at hooker first and foremost.

Marki, I am not "blaming the ref" all the time what I am pointing out is the "sh!t" calls against us, are at the most inopportune times. If you were happy with the refereeing then good on you, but there were some really ordinary calls too, like Kikua lifting a tackled playeroff the ground when his momentum had halted and pushed him out. Penalty any other time, so why is it different against us.I will say it once again all I want to see is an even, unbiased playing field. Sometimes that is too hard to ask for.

Mdog, we were our own worse enemy and you are right about the soft on line defence. But there were a few contentious calls and every single one if them went the Panthers way. Honestly we couldn't even buy a bounce of the ball if we tried. The good news is that Flanagan in my opinion proved all the knockers wrong and he should remain our no7.

+x+x+xMicko, the Pemfers might be a better side but did they really need all those 50/50 calls to go their way to beat us. We got penalised for the same things they didn't. This is what I was calling for earlier, I just want an even playing field where the calls are more transparent. Honestly. I thought the ref was fair. We were holding on longer in the ptb. They didn’t need to because they were winning the collision.
We made 15 errors and ran soft. Even if the ref favoured us we would have lost playing like that. 100% agree. I thought ref did a food job and gave us plenty of leeway for large parts of the game. Certainly wasn't a factor on the result or the 20 point margin. In fact, I reckon he helped us keep it to just 20.... Yes. It could have been much worse. I thought we were going to be penalised a lot more for holding down.
It’s a positive game for me though. We gave the premiers plenty of chances. We can fix that. Just need to stop dropping the ball. We created chances from the little ball we had.
If the possession was 50/50 we could have won

Maybe for a long time. He takes pressure off Burto by being able to direct the team reasonably well. What I did like us that he ran into the line and engaged the defence. He has improved a hell of a lot.
He may also go backwards though. But we should stick with him for a while.
I agree that the issues are at hooker. That problem is solved for next year. Until then we are screwed.

I agree that Kikau tackle should have been a penalty. But that’s because I have a bias towards my team and can’t remember any calls going for us either. Im sure there were mate.

My understanding is that if the player is on the ground, as was the case, the moment you touch him the tackle is completed. You can't move a tackled player. So penalty

Marcello Montoya referred straight to the judiciary for calling a playing lying down a faggot....hell Marki gets called worse every day. I wonder if the NRL did their research " The terms faggot and fag are both used with disparaging intent and are perceived as highly insulting. However, faggot (but not fag ) is sometimes used within the gay community as a positive term of self-reference." Fine the bloke a hundred bucks but surely this is petty at worst.

I agree that the issues are at hooker. That problem is solved for next year. Until then we are screwed. I agree Flanno looked good. Duffty had a shocker but was good the previous 4 weeks. For hooker it wouldn't hurt to try another option. Burns in the centres is another question mark. And our defence in the middle needs a bit of tightening up. Maybe Stimson should start with Topine on the bench. The unforced errors were bad, but there were gapping holes up the middle defending our line, we can't expect Jacko to do all of the tackling. Don't change the halves but keep working on the centres and forwards, we need to find improvement. Overall I think we are progressing, even though that isn't showing up in the results column.

He may have also missed other penalties that we would not remember because as Bulldogs supporters we only remember the ones that went against us.

Averillo is starting to look better in the centres, keep him there.
Wakeham in 14 came on too late and tried to play catch up, worth another try, or use Topine in the 14 is only getting limited minutes.

So penalty Yeah, that one should have been a penalty as he he actually picked him up to throw him out. I thought you could shove them out but not lift them. Still. There were many times I would have blown a penalty when we were all over them in the tackles. Any other ref would have blown those penalties. Overall, I thought we got the better end of the stick in that game.

But he was laying there like a bundle of sticks bound together... If he'd have called him a 'fekking Dog' he'd have PETA after him and that'd be a fate worse than 'unaliving'... Reminds me of the Barry Ward incident where some were unsure which of the two words he used were offensive... I will say there is a difference between hate speech and speech that someone hates... As someone who identifies as vaccinated I'm subject to all kind of derision...
