+x+x+x+x+xIt would be interesting to see before end of year a first grade team with Tevita Pangai Junior, Luke Thompson, Franklin Pele, Kikau, Preston, Reed Mahoney, Liam Knight, Max King and perhaps Edwards, waddell, or Morrin to make up the 6 forwards and 4 reserves....interesting in we can test the grunt factor. Pele needs to be fitter but moves well and quite lightly for a big bloke. ...Perhaps Sutton or Hughes in there too. Loved RFM as a player but sadly doesn't seem up to it now. The grunt is what we have missed...it needs to be on display once to see what might have been. Flanagan as a bench player is a waste. We could cover all positions without him I thought Pangai was a prop. Now I’m certain he is an edge forward. He simply can’t be trusted to not throw a stupid offload or get a quick play then ball. His defence is also terrible in the middle. At least we can hide him a little on an edge.
My ideal team would have him and Kiks in the back row. Preston at lock with Thompson and King up front. But I would ideally have signed another better prop to start. Ideally Tino or somebody else with his size. Knight is great off the bench and should start next year if we let Thommo go. But the others aren’t good enough for us to compete. We desperately need first class props Pangai is a total liability defending on an edge, if he was playing there it would be a disaster especially with our halves and centres. I would not move Presto who is a great edge forward, KO, Morrin and Edwards are all great locks, we have too many but Edwards can play other positions. Hiding a bad defender in the middle is easier as they can get more help. TPJ is a very slow learner, the talent is there but at times his decision making is abysmal. One reason we have leaked so many points this season is edge defence second row, half, centre, - defence up the middle is also and issue. In particular, our centres were poor in defence most games, teaming those guys up with TPJ would be a disaster. I don't think it is just coincidence that Okunbur not being in the team last week saw an improvement in defence. I'd love to see him play well but I don't believe he has it. JOK is fine as a group tackler but can be a liability if he is one on one. His presence and size when running up to make a tackle is imposing but like quite afew of our players, he's abit of an arm grabber. Burton is another arm grabber. It's disappointing to see so many of our players having such bad tackling technique. Hope we address it over the off season. Preston, Mahoney, Morrin and only a handful of others actually tackle with some chest or shoulder. Lololol… any opportunity to knock Burto…

I will leave that job up to the coach and the recruitment and retention team. I am just a long time tragic that had seen great times and pathetic times and just waiting for the great times to re-emerge.

Seriously though, if your only hope to defend him is to attack anyone who criticises his deficiencies, he is in trouble. I'm not the one who put myself on 800 odd thousand a season. Those who want the big bucks better play like they deserve it, or cop the criticism.

I don't believe he has, although the 2 games with Sexy we have better as a team. But as an individual, I reckon he hasn't improved from last year. In fact, not many have under CC. Hopefully this changes next year otherwise CC's ability will come into question.

I think that the club is heading in the right direction, fans just need to be patient.
My only concern is that our bad luck with injuries will linger on.
I hope our end of season review focuses on that area, maybe we need to boost the medical and conditioning staff.
The coach is trying hard to pick the best team and the players are all trying to win.
Sure we can all get frustrated after a loss, but when all that you post is negatives it can quickly become boring and repetitive.

I distinctly remember that it was the 'quick fix' that got us in this position in the first place. I am patient for the slow burn and we will be back in business within 2 or 3 seasons if the board doesn't have a brain snap.

If we had a full strength team for the majority of the year we may have been a finals chance. I hope you’re right and we fix the injury problems for next year.

For a team running last, the Tigers have a lot of good young players.
They need to make a lot of dumb mistakes to lose games, but they can do that in spades.

Should never have been given the green light to merge. They are eventually going to be moved out of Sydney or pushed out if the comp completely. Those Cambletown juniors will eventually be ours.

I watched the last ½ hour of the Faiders/Tigpies game. It was as mistake riddled as it was intense. It's good to see the officials are incompetent in other games and not just against the Dogs.

True what amazes me is how with the ref, touch judges and the bunker, they can still miss obvious things . However at least we are not like the poms and change to an illegal kind of ball for the last quarter of the game.

Tommo selected in the side this week.
Slightly surprising and I don't actually expect him to play, but if he does I hope he goes well.
That was a long tine out of the game.
Parra fans have got a lighter jail sentence.

They need to stop changing the rules. Just leave the game alone for a while and watch the players be one more entertaining.

If not, I will enjoy every second of a Lemons defeat.

As much as we all love to see the lemons capitulate, I only watched the first 15 to 20 minutes and knew that the ref was never going to let the flat trackers bully. Checked the final score on the NRLol site and was not surprised by the final result. 50+ put on them means no premiership this year.

Just disappointed Broncos didn't put 70 on them. They have so many players on fire. Especially Walsh who is so dynamic -it is almost Ben Barba-esque. When your crappier players like Billy Walters lift their form to just about elite level, you know you are firing on all cylinders. Still believe Penrith have them covered as they can play a more a conservative gameplan better and more confident in defence but these guys can knock them off on their day. I wouldn't be disappointed with these 2 or Warriors in a GF
