hounddog  drop montoya easy said BUT who with ?  did you watch the reggies game 2day  ? i did i thought haper & olive were no better than montoya  , i also thought nick meany was woefull if he cant tackle in the reggies what would make anyone think he can do it @ nrl level 
also jack cogger he is just as bad as meany why pay would by 2 players useing cap space 2 play reggies is beyond me so we are in a massive whole how do we get out i haven't the answer

Stick with JMK starting, perhaps drop Lichaa.
Pick another outside back on the bench?
We need players in reserve grade pushing their case... not many doing thst.
Coach should simply reward the better performers.

The one player guaranteed to always be worse than Montoya is Olive.
We look like what we are a squad put together on a budget.

the kennel is in overdrive  they are asking for the board 2 terminate dean pay now , plenty of coaches available , neil henry, anthony griffin,
trent barrett, to name a few they have over 60 post there with remarks 

Some of our players are on silly money due to forward loading inother seasons.
Hard to know who and it isn't the players fsult.
Cogger and Meaney are a gamble as we don't have good players in these key spine positions in the lower grades.
Perhaps we should have signed an experienced utility back, that csn cover, wing, centre, fullback.
My other thought is move criten to fullback, he runs hard has footwork and an offload, on the wing his defense is substandard.
We need to entertain all sorts of crazy ideas as the situation is dire.

Too early IMO, but we need to start showing improvement, or Pay will be first coach sacked.

Another suggestion is get an experienced coach like Griffen or Henry to help Pay.

Who is the defensive coach?

Napa was really a last minute option thanks to that Dog Klemmer leaving.... but let’s take a look so far at Pay’s off season signings/re-called players after 2 games


Meaney:- Makes Brad Abbey look like Darren Lockyer

Cogger:- Even in reserve grade, goes missing

CHN:- Zilch. Nothing!

Sue:- Zilch. Nothing!

Crichton:- I said he was average at best when he was Penrith, he’s yet another backline player that DOES NOT scare the opposition

Montoya:- The worst NRL player.



Now if our cap will be better in 2020.... so far I have ZERO CONFIDENCE in Pay signing exactly what this team desperately needs..... Fekking Speed/Mongrel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw off season talk from Dutchy that he was focussing on Origin this year among all the other talk up Bullcr4p.

Pay has changed the role CHN played with Penrith, all he does is hit it thru the middle.!!!
Montoya is a CCC cup player forever.
I'm afraid Lewis looks like a deer in the headlights this year. Tackles well but seems scared to run to the line.
Face it, we have no organiser, there are no plays that the opposition can't see coming, no one running angles etc. etc.
Chricton will have nightmares seeing 2 or 3 players running at him every time the ball goes wide.
The dogs have 2 good wingers who mainly only get to run hitups.

What to do?
Montoya to CCC. Lewis back to CCC to get a bit of confidence back. Or to centre??
Ogden to come into the team, maybe C. Smith too.
Meaney and Cogger into team and Hopoate to centre or 5/8.

I would rather lose with blooding youngster than watching this rabble.

WHAT!!!! two games in and there are some fickle fans who have already sunk the cleaver into Pays back and are reaching for the scalpel. come on we all knew that we weren't going to blow other teams off the park... what happened to patience and persistance?

All the talk off season was this is the team going forward & all the boys were happy etc


Your entitled to your opinion ODF, I’ve been revved up by an off season of big plays, better ball handling, winning footy games & finals football..... with what I’ve seen after 2 games & with what I’ve seen from the new recruits across BOTH grades.... were in massive trouble mate

If we have money to spend before June 30th we need to move, but don't be desperate as we will end up paying over the odds for average players.

I don't think CHN is that bad, but Sue is ordinary and was ordinary before we signed him.
Montoya isn't an NRL player but at least has the size.
Cogger and Meaney we wouldn't have paid top dollar, they have come for a chance.
Both  are still young, give them a few more weeks.
Crichton seems a bit small to be a winger in the modern game and needs to improve his defence.
Our recruiting looks to me like shopping on a budget and hoping that the stuff on the discount rack is good value.
I am not sure what is happening with Renouf T, we need him back on deck.
I don't understand ehy players like Bergamin, Woolford and Miller were let go.
I am more critical here as we had these guys on the books.
Bergamin is definitely better than Olive and probably at least as good as Crichton and can play wing, centre, fullbsck and in the halves. 

I thought Lewis was good both weeks, did one good kick for a try today and another kick which should have been a try. Both our halves good but the side is being over powered.

Cogger and Meaney need to show a bit more in reserve grade, if they don't our options look limited.
I agree Lewis isn't really a half but neither was Cronk at this stage of his career, and if you want to compare at this stage Lewis has more natural playmaking ability than Cronk did early in his career.
Cogger is a natural halfback it might take Lewis 2-3  years to learn what Cogger knows.

Bit tough on Crichton. He went OK, made a break early, only gets the ball thrown to him and the sideline and having to step back into traffic.
The problem is inside.
Lewis even surrendered on tackle 4 in lieu of taking the tackler/s on. He never played the ball!!!!!
CHN is playing a different role this year, misses one tackle and gets lambasted, Jacko, Foran miss tackles and send intercepts but are given a tick.
Last week the CCC team won and every one loved Cogger and Meaney, this week its all their fault they lost by 2.
There is speed in CCC, give the kids a go and evaluate them then.
Can not be any worse than today.

I would hate to have to blame PAY as I was ecstatic when he got the job. Real back the DOGS of WAR.
Unfortunately DES put an end to that. Jacko is probably the only player that is touched by the feeling that we diehards know.

I am not anti LEWIS, but anyone who says he played well in both games have rose coloured glasses.

He needs to take control, not just shovel the ball out to the sideline.
I reckon he and FORAN should swap numbers with Lewis in closer.
He is only 22, the Parra Boy was 18 and Cogger is 20.

The good kicks seemed a panic on tackle 5.
