+x+x+x+x+xNope won’t happen Dman because cheerleaders stand in one spot dancing, kicking the air etcLichaa would likely end up in Bay 13 row 5 with his fancy crab like footwork If Steve, during his recent visit to Japan, didn't stay away from those aphrodisiac fish I warned him about, I suspect he too may have developed some fancy crab like footwork. I can see it now, wandering into a Japanese topless bar like John Cleese from the ministry of silly walks with an self-induced agenda, saying to the bartender "If I can just finds out where it is I'm actually a goin', I believe I'll have another big orange" Funny...I was asked if I wanted some pussy and I ended up in a Cat Café. Have to stop playing the Vapors only ever hit. Maybe this week is the time for the Lich to shine. BTW if not mistaken Parra scored zero points whilst he was on the field. Steve, I doubt anyone would've realised I quoted something from a link you posted a fair while ago in that joke yesterday, with the lines "I believe I'll have another big orange" etc. I thought you might've noticed, but I wasn't sure, so I tried finding the link to re-post it but wasn't able to. It was from a US comedian that was portraying a character that had never heard of football & how he got swept along to a match & didn't have a clue what was going on etc. It was a funny clip that I think someone had uploaded to youtube from vintage antique vinyl, probably from the days guys like Mel Blanc were starting out, indicative of how old it was. Shit Rod..I missed it. Trying to put heaps of ebay stuff on...yes I like getting ripped off. It was Andy Griffith and the track is called "What it Was was Football" ...he started as a preacher and I think you will find he was originally billed as Deacon Andy Griffith. His early comedy work is great. If you like a hillbilly interpreting non hillbilly stuff. Love Stan Freberg and Andy's comedy stuff. Ah, I found it, but wouldn't have if you didn't remember what I was talking about : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3jw79p4v7gI don't know if I could cope with a whole album of it though, but this one was funny from 1953 (well before my time).

For mine one of the all time funniest sketches which holds up equally visually and if you just hear the audio is Peter Cook and Dudley Moore' s"One Leg too Few"...so ridiculous in concept...Pete is so darn good....Dud is great as the unidexter!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbnkY1tBvMU

+xJayden Okunbor is one of the best spoken league players I have heard in a long time. Good on him. Great to hear Spoken to him at Belmore. He is a lovely young man. Adores his family, just a top intelligent kid who does all the right things off the field.

Just found this...as a fellow Mad magazine aficionado...they actually put the whole sketch it a 1958 issue using Andy's original dialogue. https://www.madcoversite.com/missing_was.html I remember seeing that when you put the link up a while ago (probably a few years back now). The original audio is funnier in my opinion. Making a cartoon of it loses all the voice talent & personality of the character. It has the lines but not what makes it funny when you hear it. If you just read it, I'd expect you'd think oh is that it, not funny.

There was a game a few years ago when we were real contenders. You probably remember it..at Homebush and the score was 12 all at half time. Well the final score DID work out to be what many of us anticipated about 40-12 ...only thing the winners were Wests tigers...they were the 40..which was supposed to be us., It may have been the first game Mitchell Moses played for them. You never know. Stranger things have happened. Only thing I can't think of any!!

The thing is, some of our combinations that look so lost and disjointed at the moment might just kick into gear and be the winner for us. Don't write this young Dogs side off just yet.

ODF My thoughts are similar... We did a lot of training on passing over the off season, so far that hasn't translated to slick execution, but we seem to be dropping less ball (Okunbour needs to lift his game in this area). IMO we are lacking combinations and timing in attack and defence, that will improve as the season progresses, but sometimes a group of edge players will just click and work together well in attack a defence. We look a bit unfit and mentally off the pace, that is down to a lack of defensive combinations and energy when the opposition has a run of possession. In spite of what everyone thinks, our NRL players are not that much worse than the other teams, it is all about the right preparation, combinations and trust in the player group and effort. I'm hoping we click at some stage and the sooner the better IMO or the players will start to lose confidence and pressure on the coach will build.

Attack with our defence!
That’s the Bulldogs DNA.
We can catch & pass as much as we want in training, but if we can’t defend, if we can’t wrestle back momentum in a game..... we’re fekked!

Widdop’s turned a try scoring opportunity for his Dragons into a runaway Roberts try for the Bronco’s
That’s a Bulldogs trademark

I remember the days when we were 1 point wonders.
People called it excitement footy. I called it the downfall of a great club if our winning margin was down to 1 point on a weekly basis.
And hereth we are. Can barely score any points.

Is it me or has Channel 9s coverage gone very American NFLish..? Broadcast panel table in the middle of the field even before the game finishes and large headphones.

Marki.... what I don’t understand is why the fekk are we paying a fekking cent for Klemmer????
This dog wanted out for more money, the club bent over..... surely any sports administrator would have said to Newcastle “He’s yours at full freight” & we will not contribute a bloody cent
I thought the number for Mbye would have been around the $150k mark. I’d say the same for Woods.
So if we are contributing around 500k to pay for Mbye, Woods to play at other clubs..... again I ask, how is our current team worth $9mill????

I very much doubt that we are paying anything for Klemmer, we wanted to keep him. As early as this season, other clubs will be paying players to pay for us, the longer we wait the better deal we will get. Should be break-even in 2020 and in the black in 2021, this is just my hunch. We need to stay the course on the current path, short term pain for long term gain. I know the team was well below par rounds 1-2, this weeks team should be better, and should at least help answer some questions on a few players. There are 2 alternatives open to fans:- 1) Have some patience and give the players and coach the benefit of the doubt for a few weeks. 2) Whinge about the coach and team constantly. Whatever approach we take it doesn't increase the chances of a win, that ball isn't in our court.

Dallas was a gun player for us, once medicine fully gets up to speed on concussion, I'm not sure how they can modify the game to make it safe.

I didn't read it due to the pay-wall, the jist was something about petty theft. As for Pangai Jnr, he's shaping up for a marquee contract from next year. 2 teams are in the running for his signature - the broncos...and you guessed it...the favourites to sign him....the roosters...
