Martin stripped twice in one game says it all about our day...

The "one of those days" factor looms large, being young, they don't handle it well...

Dragons combination of last line speed and big hard running forwards was too much, next time around we have at least seen that before.

We needed to stand deeper in attack  and have player running on the the ball, we were too flat and the timing was off this week,

Dragons had a run of early possession with a few penalties. maybe that was a factor

competition table as of now  bulldogs 16 th place , the bulldogs have gone from $101 to win the spoon to $ 151  as of now  how depressing is that
& as if we will beat souths on easter sunday  i dont think so

If we are really $151 for the spoon, I'll put of a few dollars on....

Just looking at the teams before a ball was kick this season that is where most experts had us.

I don't think the performance against the Storm was a fluke, but the the Dragons were better prepared and have show how to play us

We don;t have the team to play badly and win, even when we play well we might lose, but no excuse for playing badly.

The coach deserves at least one season playing with the full cap....

Last week we were happy with the coaching, this week it was mostly a case of poor individual decisions from players.

Dragons seem to want it more right form the kick off, our young guys need to get used to the intensity.

That $151 to win the comp is my guess.... not taking that bet at this stage. if we blow out to $500 I might put $10 on it, I'm not a punter but $500 is good value.

This is going to sound funny, but if we are the worst team in the comp, we are not that bad,,,, we were way worse in 2008....

Holland did look far short of an NRL standard defensive centre in this game, he was better against the Storm...

Again there is a lot of young inexperienced players in reserve grade,of the players you listed, RFM is a first grader, Danny is a fringe first grader, Brown and Montoya a reserve graders,.

If Harper played well I might promote him and move Holland to the bench instead of Lichaa,

If RFM played well I might promote him instead of Martin,,,

Lewis, Okunbor and Remis Smith didn't have great games, but they are young kids, hopefully they learned something.

Meaney and JMK were OK, Cogger player fairly well.....

I don't think we can drop 5 players every time we have a bad loss, that will not work.

Its the bench HD

Sue, Lichaa, Smith really offer zilch to the team

Elliott offers something. Maybe Smith should start because he does have some mongrel in him rather than come off the bench

RFM, Renouf T, Elliott & Ogden should be the bench going forward!

I agree Lichaa offered little in any game this year.

Back to earth with a thud but we all knew this would be our path to rebuilding the team.

Martin a few errors sure but Reimis, OK and especially Lewis' mistakes were pivotal to pressure and regrouping after points scored against us...ya get that.

It's gonna happen.

Bring on next week and more experienced gained by the guys.

That was complete rubbish. I know young teams find it hard to back up performances but the errors they made were schoolboy even though that's an insult to schoolboys.  Meaney was the only back that could hold his head high.  The forwards weren't great but the backs were woeful.   Too many players that will never be consistent 1st graders like Holland are in the team.

Meaney was great. Has really not put a foot wrong. Jayden O did a pretty good impersonation of Steve Mavin today...I can't remember a game in which so many tries have been scored by opposition errors. I will add Ben Hunt to my dart board.

Steve you are so right. We cut out the errors and we could have kept them to zero. I don't think the score reflected how good st merge were, just how poorly we performed. Now it's over to Dean to see if he can coach some confidence back into the youngsters.

Maybe some players got ahead of themselves. Now it's back to the hard work and earning the right to say something to the press.....Dragons done them like a dinner. We are so fragile but that is explained by their inexperience and lack of physical and mental toughness. At the risk of offending some (lol) Holland is a most frustrating player. Some games you see the full potential and think he is building to a very successful career in the mould of Farrar, Louie Mortimer etc and then next game either not seen or terrible inept defence. Luckily against Souths he is due to make amends.

Most gsmes Holland rushes up misses tackles and other players cover.

But we also saw him make good 1 on 1 tackles against the Storm wgen set or scrambling.

I think that the biggest problem is decision making, not technique.

The Dragons showed how to play us, got a flow of possession early, their whole team turned up ready to play.

We were the team that was ambushed and the young players couldn't handle it.

We also had a flat day after the big performance against the Storm.

What I have learned from the season so far is we need to start well to be a chance, the side loses it's way when significantly behind. I called for them to keep playing as sooner or later we will flip momentum in a game.

At this stage of the season with many teams close to full strength and motivated it takes a big effort from us to match them.
I rate our performances each week so far as 1. Poor. 2.Ok, 3. Good 4. Good 5. Poor.,
We need to improve our defence to eliminate the poor performances.

I'm still flabbergasted an eye gouge is only a fine... The NRLol crap on about the image of the game, put policy in place for off field allegations, but no more than a slap on the wrist for an on field disgrace... For mine there is no more despicable act that what happened to Munster...

HD.... we have way too many nice guys in our team, especially in the backline that do NOT intimidate any opposition

Napa is a start.... to the type of aggressive players this team needs ASAP

As for Holland’s defence.... I still can’t believe Ravalawa scored his Try after stumbling 10m out then carried Holland over on his back.... horrible defensive player.
