I see how this will play out..... Penrith will sign Ivan from 2021.... and at some stage next year, Tigers will roll over and release him early. Same as Des in 2011

A contract is a legal bind between the parties it entails. It will invariably include severance. Tigers might legally exercise the relevant clauses in case of early severance by Cleary but unless it contains restrictions on him coaching elsewhere, it's probably just a financial discharge.

Taking a leaf out of Anthony Griffins book, Dman will be appearing on A Current Affair spilling the beans on his relationship with Des Hasler, how Des Hasler controlled him & how Dib drove the bus

How funny if Ivan signs with Panthers and Nathan signs with the Tigers.

I reckon Anthony Griffen would be a great bloke to have in your club in just about any position except head coach.
The stories of him rubbing up players the wrong way and dividing the room are more than just stories. He does, he will. But he also has an incredible record of debuting NRL players, the right players at the right time. Must be one of the best in the game, current and past.
I wouldn't let him in a change room ever again but I would just about anywhere else in the club.
I actually reckon he'd do Gus's job better than Gus.

Can't understand 2 clubs fighting over Ivan Cleary. He hasn't won a premiership but Tigers and Panthers going on like he is Gibson or Bennett or the Wok!!. His Tigers won't even make the 8 this year yet Griffen has the panthers geared up for a premiership push this year but gets the flick??

Why does your club even exist? As a business only? Poor form. If I were the board I would at least discipline him if not sack him for those kind of comments.

Probably a case of line them up. It is like the bloke who answers a job for a Playboy photographer. He is told okay we'll send you the flight ticket to Melbourne. "But I was told the job was in Sydney" he says. "It is but that's where the queue starts"

Another Hadley example...different field. His musical tastes are as poor as anyone I have ever heard on radio. Yet, a year or more back he started to play some Keith Whitley. who? you may ask..well a fabulous singer who passed away in 1989 sadly from drinking too much (blood alcohol reading .49) would have been best of his time and possibly ever had he lived (and a thousand times better than the Kenny Chesney or McClymonts he usually plays). to relate to normal he was first to cut "When You Say Nothing at All". Anyway for some reason Hadley called him Keith White-ley and not Keith Wit-ley. A mate of mine who listens to Hadley rang him up to say it is Wit-ley not White-ley. "No it is not" said Hadley "I took it up with some friends of mine who are high up in American Radio and they all confirmed it was White-ley". So my mate sends Hadley two snippets..the first Keith Whitley introducing himself as "Keith Wit-ley" and the second famous US DJ Ralph Emery introducing him as "Keith Wit-ley"....so what does Hadley do but play another song a couple of days later by "keith White-ley" and confirming that is how his name is pronounced. Ignorance personified....even on a minor thing he never will admit he could be wrong.

No wonder ebay only too willing to go along with the Government's gst collection on low price items coming through ebay from overseas...it gives them the opportunity of charging an admin. fee. Pr*cks.

+xNo wonder ebay only too willing to go along with the Government's gst collection on low price items coming through ebay from overseas...it gives them the opportunity of charging an admin. fee. Pr*cks. Steve, I bought $300 worth of audio upgrade gear from Burson Audio (Melbourne) on ebay a couple of weeks ago. Sure enough, the parcel turned up from Hong Kong. I suppose I'm lucky to avoid the import tax & ebay fee for it this time. No regrets on buying 4 x V6 Vivids though. Not something for everyone, but for anyone that listens to music on their PC they make a heck of a difference. Some, but not all, PC sound cards have socketed chips that can be swapped out for better quality ones. I remember reading about it when I bought the sound card years ago, only just got around to doing something about it now. What difference did they make....well left & right speakers now seem much wider apart. It gets really up front & distantly back & deep. Up & down as well, which surprised me. Clarity has improved tremendously. It was a high end sound card to begin with, but to try & describe the clarity after the upgrade....cymbols for example, instead of pffft pffft pffft pffft, sound more like the ting ting ting ting, they're supposed to (for want of a better description, hehe). Bass is deeper & more punchy. Vocals & everything else so much clearer & positioned much better, like the guitar guy is standing back to one side, separate from the keyboard guy on the other side, doesn't sound all muddy & jumbled up etc. Ambient sounds seem to sound from all around. I don't know what they did, but it works. One day I'll try & connect the PC up through the main Marantz amp & bigger speakers, it might be interesting. I've been using a pair of wooden 3-way speakers for the PC for a few years, at least now they sound much better. Here's a link if you wanted to check them out : https://www.bursonaudio.com/products/supreme-sound-opamp-v6/
