+x+x+x+x+xDogs have posted a watch this space hint for November 1st. I find it hard to believe that a player who was only allowed to negotiate on November 1 could do a deal on the same day. Maybe the hint indicates that we are interested in talking to some players. Technically, youre allowed to seek interest in players before Nov 1 but can only talk contracts after it. Im sure we would have sounded an interest in Pappenhuyzen (within the rules) and that may have swayed him to wait till Nov 1.... I am giving your theory an outside chance of being correct, because we released Papalii and we haven’t signed many players. Leo Thompson is the other guy we might be after. Hypothically if we somehow got Papps and Thompson that is a big step forward. We will need some of Foxy's salary.... next time around bro get your story straight first time. No hard feelings I like Fox and he still offers something. But Fox or Pappy isn't even a contest. Theres many on TK who want 2 big forwards.... Im happy with just 1 as long as we can improve on our spine first. As much as a clubs want to unearth the next big spine player, the truth is its easier to find and develop forwards within your junior ranks and recruit key spine players. Waiting to unearth good spine players while splashing money on forwards has never served any team well. Not in NRL history. I am happy with 1 extra forward. What we need is a forwards leader and Tom Amone might be the guy. Thompson could definitely become the guy. Second row, I think we have good options. Wingers and centres I am happy, especially if recruiting a fullback frees up Tracey. So fullback is the position that we might need to strengthen especially since our next gun fullback hasn't even played Flegg. Most other positions we have covered. Aside from the forwards who should be better in 2025, fullback is the obvious position where we could improve. Tracey is actually an NRL standard fullback and a pretty good player. But if we ranked all NRL fullbacks in order, Tracey is outside the top 10 and perhaps in the bottom 4. Pappy is top 10. There might be other options, but if we want, experience, pace and play making ability there are not many available options. We just have to appreciate that there is only 1 FB position in the team, its a key position and its not unusual for a top player in this position to be the highest paid player in the team. Once you accept all that, there should be no concerns if you had to fork out 1M plus to get the right man. For too long, we have either ignored this fact or for some reason were willing to throw 80% of top FB money on a manufactured FB (DWZ) rather than just pay 100% on a proven top FB. The fact we have also lacked talent in other key spine positions made this even more of a focal point..

Paps and Leo would be great signings. Definitely want to sign up Xeri and Sexton for another few years as well.

+x+xDo our smaller past superstars like Langer Sterling Lamb Mortimer still find their way in today's game with the larger Pacifica Islanders taking part in their junior football teams??? Are we loosing a lot of players because of this differential??? That is a problem in junior comps. Any players still in the game age 18 still make it. Real talent and desire comes through in all suitations, but we will never know about the kids who's mum stopped him playing age 10. Mum might play the cards but I've seen and heard plenty of smaller kids sick of getting pummeled by kids twice their size.. they'd have no problem waiting out the time to develop as men and allocate that dimension when they hit 22 23 but the developed islander boys just turn them away from footy before their peak. Sometimes the code switch is an easier route

+x+x+xSo we have let Papalii go along with Samrani... Im thinking we have Gutho or Pappenhuyzen in the bag..... It would surprise me a lot if we aren’t about to sign a few over the offseason. Paps or young Faalogo would be great. I’m not a fan of signing Melbourne players, but I feel we may finally have the system to get the best out of them. Faalogo is a candidate as far as I know Paps is staying at the Storm. We have a plan, I don't know what it Is. Paps is testing the market... That means he's ours! Tracey can fight out the wing spot with Montoya and Wilson or 5/8th spot with Burton...

Samarini is a pretty good player but he might not have the pace.
Some good centres and wingers in the GF winning Flegg side, in particular one centre made an impact with every carry.
Flegg fullback didn't do much in the GF.

+x+x+xUnfortunately they are decent. They certainly would appeal to the ignorant members of our society. Yes.. having a sense of humour, and laughing at a cartoon that hits the.matk about how ordinary our Pollies are is ignorant... No surprise that you miss the point mate. Our politicians are us. Most of them have very similar values and views. It’s what has them pushed into politics in the first place. They resemble our best and our worst. Cool Micko... Shame U have no sense of humour... Get back to writing shit posts about one of our best players all year on TK....

+x+xThe NRL is completely missing the mark with the proposed standing on suburban grounds the heartland of community and the presence of the suburban warfare in rugby league There is a distinct difference between the clubs that have a retrospective piece of community built into their DNA. Fans aren't asking for mini-mega stadiums that are devoid of character without a hill or local keepsake that makes their home ground feel so unique.. the recent conceptual development of Manly Sea Eagles home ground being right on the money! But the association and ownership of a team has to relate to the people within said community teams like Nth Qld Cowboys, Manly Sea Eagles and Penrith Panthers have the unique advantages of stability in their location and community base. The development of the game, leading fans back to the grandstand has to relate to the people within the local jurisdiction allowing that sense of ownership developing access to the club. Our fans thrive on the passion that is built on the back of hard work and development to install rugby league as the greatest game on earth they deserve nothing less than the best when optioning that piece of turf that stands for so much more than a few bums on seats! Create a future that represents what our game is all about!
As it stands what team plays out of Liverpool? The NRL has missed the mark entirely, nothing will change by making multiple clubs play out of the same venue to ensure these grounds are adequately used based on funding! There has to be a reflection on community and that's just not happening with the current plan With the current infrastructure spending to create jobs and focus on our economy the conversation has to be had to get the right amount of funding to do the right thing by these projects and get it done right instead of minor upgrades that do nothing for Rugby League I have pushed for concepts and innovation through different sporting codes for the last 12 years seeing the injection of purity in sport, through the funding of regional rugby league by taking the game to the people, to the heartland of our game. I have tried to affiliate with the NRL & RACING NSW as well as other codes which has resulted in positive outcomes with no correspondence to my proposals, I will continue to launch my instrumental investment solutions to better our sport, our game and our way of life trying to establish a business and association with the game in mind.

However, all pollies should spend 4 hours Sunday morning in the stocks in a handy location in their electorate. If all of the voters are happy, no one will turn up to throw fruit.... Let's call it constructive feedback. Nobody can afford to throw fruit.... fists are free... not that I condone violence in any way, shape, or form... just saying....well, other than self defence...

+x+x+x+x+xI can see an NRL side in PNG being a success. Not hard to imagine them being tough to beat at home. It can be successful if they play half their games in PNG and half in Cairns or something..... Would many players want to travel that far? I suppose for visiting teams if you are doing a trip to Townsville, then going to Port Moresby wouldnt be too bad asca once off. But for the PNG team to have to travel to Sydney, Canberra, Melb, Newie and NZ it can take it out of them. Would be expensive to fly to all these destinations wirh a team of 30 or 35 personnel each 2nd week.... I can just see the NRLol setting the draw so that the Dogs to finish the regular season travel to Bris, then Melb, then Townsville, across to NZ, up to Pt Moresby then back to Syd for a short turn around for the finals because of clashing fixtures with the gayFL. Jesus... I just figured it out... ODF is NRLAI that has somehow grown a conscience... And can't live with himself anymore... He is hoping the truth will set him free of the matrix... He has been on here telling us the truth the whole time... Yet we were such idiots we thought it nothing more than sour grapes... I've clocked your BDP exile as 5 nanoseconds.... welcome back. Julian has nothing on me... Glad to be home...
