+x+xInteresting to see how similar incidents in tackles are treated differently. Su'a - shoulder to the head of Lewis - penalty, 10 minutes in bin, on report Siva - shoulder to the head - no action Both injured players no further part in game. Difference - Su'a in defence, Siva in attack. It could be argued that Siva's act was at least as if not more intentional. Not making a judgement here, just pointing out that player welfare is not always the overriding consideration. The act outweighs the outcome on field for mine... The outcomes should only of concern to the judiciary..,
If a bloke elbows some parra pussy in the head and he stays down, or JWH in the head and it doesnt affect him it’s still an elbow to the head...
Funnily enough if the refs simply reffed TK the rules most things would be fine...
I think you're right. The outcome may not be immediately obvious. However some balance needs to be in place for the current game. This is why I suggested the offending player be replaced not to return until the injured player returns.

The concern is is a coach keeping a ‘regular player’ off the field even if able to return after what is deemed to be foul play attributed to a ‘gun’... And you know plenty if not most would in that scenario...

If the plan was Tooly on the 4th every set in the opposition 20 it wasn’t his fault, if it wasn’t the plan it’s the halves/hooker/coaches fault...
Every side needs a bloke like that, and premiership teams nominate that player as the bloke they’d go into war with... The amount of tries he has saved in cover you couldn’t count... The amount of times he was the only bloke ready to hit it up the same...

+xCongrats Marki Scumgraph reporting that T Baz will NOT be re-signing Tol’s Well thank you. We have turned a corner. For every try Tolman saved he cost us 1-2. People dont see that but to the expert eye it is glaringly obvious.

Saw the poet Rupert McCall on Saturday at sunshine Coast Turf Club. Not the first time I'd seen him but if you get the chance he's good value. Reading his book while laid up in hospital for a few hours. Book's good but with poetry so much of the value is in the delivery.

Channel 9 up here pumping up Redcliffe's NRL bid again. Can't see a 17th NRL team in the near future. One extra team equals more costs and no extra TV revenue. All while the NRL is losing money and cutting costs. An 11k ground touted as a selling point. Lot of assets doesn't translate to working capital. I think the TV stations are hard up for a story sometimes.

Overall we may a more experienced coach, backed by expericed assistants. Some good coaches are probably happy to be assistants.

I think the TV stations are hard up for a story sometimes. Need to add teams 2 at a time, so there is an extra game. IMO A long term plan is expansion to 22 teams, 21 rounds of 11 games = 231 matches. 24 rounds with 8 games = 192 matches... With 11 games 3 additional games, can be Sunday afternoon, more choice and content for broadcasters. Each team plays every other team once alternating home and away. Of course they can't add 6 teams in 1 hit. Expansion needs a long term plan.

+xOverall we may a more experienced coach, backed by expericed assistants. Some good coaches are probably happy to be assistants. Craig Sandercock has a lot of experience as an assistant coach. He's worked with Cronulla, Manly, Newcastle & west tigers, also as a head coach in ESL. David Tangata-Toa, much younger guy. It said he's the "transition" coach, so maybe that's a fancy way of saying lower grades, because that's where his experience has been so far, both as a player & with coaching. He spent a lot of time in the UK playing & coaching too, but he's only 39, not expecting him to make his presence felt like Bennett or Bellamy, so most likely helping Mick Potter with that kind of work for now.

Of course they can't add 6 teams in 1 hit. Expansion needs a long term plan. The problem is players. Not so long ago the NRL reported an increase in participation. Unfortunately when broken down it was mainly on the back of increased female participation. They conceded at the time that the area that went backwards was 13 to 18yo boys. This is not good for the game going forward and is why they are focusing on the Pacific Islands. It is pretty obvious that we struggle to fill 16 teams. The concentration on the Pacific Islands is purely to get players for the NRL on the back of what union did and nothing to do with expanding the game. There are twice as many people in WA as Fiji, Tonga and Samoa put together.

Aston Villa playing their 1st EPL of the season right now..... are a man up after SU player got sent off at the 14th minute mark.
Much like the Bulldogs, with a man advantage, we still don’t look like scoring & just conceded a penalty only for a brilliant save by our new goalie
