Not for the first time this season. How come a blatant professional foul gets totally whitewashed because a try is scored. Surely the offence is not nullified by a later event.

+x+xDid I hear during the call lat night that we had signed Morgan Boyle. Would that be a good signing? Extra depth and a bit more size at prop. Can't get a run at Manly, but their pack is strong. If the age stats are correct 24-25, good age for a prop. Hard to say how this will play out, but should not be big dollars. As you say depth. Age right, size right, experience ok (40+) games. Just never noticed him.

We ideally needed 3 things to go our way this week.
A) Dogs win -check B) Cows lose -check C) Broncos lose -50% there....
If Parra can go on with it, it will be an interesting game next Thursday when Broncos play Cows.
Wooden spoon can potentially be won by Broncos without us even playing a minute vs Penrith.
Cows losing tonight ensured that a win against Penrith by us next week and we avoid the spoon no matter what happens tonight or on thursday.

I think our team could have beaten both teams 13 on 26, Parra should be where we are on the table.

+xCome on you hopeless losers, don't lose to the hopeless losers, 3 from 3. Avoiding the spoon is now in our hands. Although I'd be much happier if Broncos take it away from our hands on Thursday night and we can relax on Saturday

Anyone heard the latest on TPJ. Multiple covid breaches, Broncos reportedly want to year up contract, TPJ hints at TP anomalies, NRL interested, Broncos give him another chance, all goes quiet. Nothing to see here.

To me the bunker makes these unnecessary decisions to justify their own existance. Unfortunately they are not always correct.

+xTo me the bunker makes these unnecessary decisions to justify their own existance. Unfortunately they are not always correct. My thoughts are use the bunker for tries when the ref is uncertain. Scrap captain's challenge, for general play but allow it for tries where tne ref doesn't use the bunker. Stop replays of crusher tackles, etc, only use the bunker for serious allegations like biting, head butting etc. I agree penalties / restarts should be given for 3rd man in low, if a player has stopped moving a 3rd player joining the tackle should be a tackle count restart... 2 players should be able to tackle 1 player. 3rd man in tackles also increase the chances of friendly fire injuring a defender. Basically only allow them when the player is still making yards. The rules will never be ideal and refs make mistakes, but the fans come to see action, not endless replays while the bunker makes a decision.

Reserve grade a bit ordinary... trailing at halftime.
I suggest we sack the coach, and promote DCE to peeling oranges for first grade.

Desball.... it's diminishing at Belmore and increasing at Brookvale. I think there is only a handful of Desballers left at the Dogs and very soon will decrease again.

Storm v Tigers game....... that last "try" by smith is enough for me to say that the referees and the bunker are taking the p!ss. Smith knocked on in the PTB clear as day and the bunker "missed" it.

Interesting to see how similar incidents in tackles are treated differently. Su'a - shoulder to the head of Lewis - penalty, 10 minutes in bin, on report Siva - shoulder to the head - no action Both injured players no further part in game. Difference - Su'a in defence, Siva in attack. It could be argued that Siva's act was at least as if not more intentional. Not making a judgement here, just pointing out that player welfare is not always the overriding consideration.

The outcomes should only of concern to the judiciary..,
If a bloke elbows some parra pussy in the head and he stays down, or JWH in the head and it doesnt affect him it’s still an elbow to the head...
Funnily enough if the refs simply reffed TK the rules most things would be fine...
