+xElliot moved into the starting side... And finished the game for us with a missed tackle. Had a partner (SK) Tell me another player who makes more crazy errors. Doesn't pass, then when caught tries to pass under pressure, LOST BALL. Frustrating to watch. Titans to 12 men, we score and have 8 more minutes against 12. What happens, 3 straight sets of one outs. Unbelievable!! A fan of Avo but he will have a short life in the top grade if all he can do is pass to a sliding slow backline. A great running game but he tried once and it led to try. Then never again when we were a chance to win. Maybe a better 5/8 or fullback.

We play too many one out yardage sets. We need to look at our service from dummy half and our forward pack. Hethro and Jacko should come back in and start, Topine should start.

T Baz.... here’s a tax tip that’s sure to be a winner:- * drop that useless Adam Elliott to reggies for the rest of the year.... I couldn’t care less if Dman has to pull on a jersey due to numerous injuries, Elliott sits his arse in reggies & will no doubt agitate for a release & we can rid this f%ck out of the club Stay tuned for more tax tips this time next week

Great tip.
I have backed Elliot for years. He is just so stupid. He makes Blocka look like a genius.

+xWe looked like shit again. This team is getting dumber each week. I feel sorry for Tbaz but I doubt he can change things. We need experience ASAP Baz has to get more ruthless, some missed tackles, dropped balls and sloppy passes should be sacking offenses, unless the player makes up for it. We need a bit more intensity and purpose and less trying to force low percentage miracle plays at the last minute. Most importantly limit the opposition to 18-20 points, stop conceeding soft tries, work together as a team in defense. I am surpised that we are this bad, but a lot of our problems seem to start at dummy-half. With the new rules Napa and Hethington need to rein it in a bit, we can't defend well with 13, 12 is a tough ask.

I see we have all, almost given up making any comments. We know where the problems are, we know who the culprits are, whe know who is being kept and who is getting let go, we know what plays are working and those that are failing, Baz is copping a hiding over coaching in TK but what can he do. He has no-one to replace the underperformers except with other underperformers or inexperienced reggies. Even players like Averillo his last tackle options are atrocious his 5th tackle high ball is not only useless, it's fooling nobody so what is he dishing out today..... oh that high ball that is useless and fooling nobody. I don't give a fvck who they are if they wont listen to the coach give them a spell in reggies to think about it.

I think that’s right. I think that’s dead right, and the major starting point of the clunkiness of our attack. Poor passes are one thing, picking the wrong bloke to pass to another. Neither of these two blokes give a thought about where the attack should go, they just pick who’s in line. Topine’s not much better at that, but at least he passes better. Unheralded DH’s like Mcullough don’t do much else except nail the above all the time, take him tomorrow.

Topine is a much better defender, plays with energy and does the odd smart play, Kotoa definitely throws in a few dumb plays. I know Topine is more of a backrower, but his passing is no worse, he is a handy ball runner.

Barrett was obviously signed because he could attract talent to the club. Missing API Koroisau obviously had a lot to do with sacking Pay. The board reacted poorly and we gave a coach that was terrible at Manly and looks even worse with us. Remember Pay had a worse roster than Baz and has done much better. That really says it all.
Baz bringing Katoa and Elliot back on when we had the game on the line were terrible decisions. You don’t bring the two most stupid players on when the game is in the balance.
On a better note the young centre looked good.

I’d be scouring lower grades for a DH who’s a good passer, good pass selector and can defend. And I reckon they’re easier to find because everyone’s looking for the superstar running, kicking, game managing DH who are as rare as wooden turd.
Get the bloke who can do what he’s gonna be doing 90% of the time with some expertise and watch the team do the rest.
No use having a bloke who can run 100m if he can’t f***in’ pass.

I just happened to stumble upon the canberra-storm game and really the players are becoming soft c0cks holding their faces or jaws and taking dives and the refs hamming it up and showing how "tough" a stance they are taking with so called "high" shots. It gives them a licence to blatently fvck a game.

On a better note the young centre looked good. With the new stupid rules/6 agains etc under Dean Pay we would be no better Katoa, Napa, Hoppa, Elliott... 4 senior guys have dished out nothing but f#%king garbage this year is not helping out cause... but with 8 or 9 players out injured, T Baz unfortunately needs to continue to select these useless hacks.
Hasn’t helped that Waddell and Flanagan haven’t added much to the team... I still believe Flanagan will be a good signing.
I reckon we’ll probably get another 3 or 4 wins before the season is over when a few more troops get back & the garbage ends up playing reserve grade where they belong.

Melbourne are doing well but Canberra are as big a rabble as we are. The major difference is we are blessed with Napa, Katoa, Hopoate and Elliott to give us that losing edge.

The biggest worry fir me is that Hoppa and Elliot have become so much worse than they were last year. Most of their careers they have been two of our best players.
The same arguments I heard about Pay could be used about Barrett. The players signed by both have been average at best. The players have performed worse under their coaching than previous coaches. The game plan is one dimensional. The comments in the post match press conference never change etc.
I think in a few years the club will be looking forward another coach. One with experience. And finally we will see some success.

Napa called the Titans player a wuss as he was going off...definitely any touch to the scone is going to get certain players acting as though they were hit with a brick....that call by Napa was unfortunately about the only good thing he did.

Our problems are NOT dummy half. Our dummy half play (passing, kicking) has been the best for many years. Defence around the ruck could be better with Katoa. Dietz is better defensively as he tackles low but gets dominated and for some reason has reduced his effective darts down to 2 a game. Dissapointing. I certainly dont blame Avo or Wakeham who look to be the right halves pairing, although Wakeham could demand more ball and seems to get lost in the plays. Too much on Averillo. The problem however is these 1 out runs. Just way too many and from flat footed players. I blame the forwards. Their attitude, their desire, the coaching. Bad habits are hard to change but we just have to change if we want to compete. We also need to bring in footy brains into the team. Never have a seen a team that just cannot take opportunities when they present, yet are morals to offer points when the show is on the other foot.

There seems to be an inherent short term memory loss...they do some excellent plays...usually entailing spreading the ball wide and actually make ground...you think they may have found it...and then don't play there again...just slobbing it up the middle....even forwards with some creativity do it but can only hope Renouf slips the ball to Thompson through a gap...rather than Thompson trying to make that gap.

Katoa involved in missed tackles, non-efforts, or failure to stop a try in all 5 Titans tries. One was a almost impossible stop on a front rower 1-on-1, but Topine might have made it. Dietz threw 5 or 6 rubbish passes from dummy-half. As we are long odds to beat the Panthers we may as well try 9. Topine 14. Davies/Daley. (2 different guys) Napa might be suspended if not I would drop him and Wardell. Topine, Jacko and Hethro to start. Bench: Ava, Atoni, Elliott and probably Daley as he seems more of a specalist 9. Elliott preferred just over Wardell as he has more energy snd impact... but on thin ice. We need fewer middle forwads trying to play out the back, the halves should get more ball at first receiver. Averillo and Wakeham need to kick a bit higher even if they sacrifice some distance. Left edge Wakeham- Doorey-Schoupp-Meaney looked good in attack at times. Right edge - Averillo-DWZ-Hoppa-Cotric good st times. Thompson and Atoni good in attack in the middle. Smith is improving in the 2nd row but defence on that side still looks shaky. I can't stress too much how bad defence from Katoa cost us this game and most of the season. He seems to hesitate sit bsck and watch at all the wrong times.

What a proud weekend for the NRLol... 5 games... 55 penalties... 43 six agains.. 36 reportable incidents... 13 sin binnings...
Only 2 blow outs though... 5 bludgers of games irrespective of result...
Vlan the impaler & co. driving that stake deeper into league lovers hearts with every whistle...

Does that mean the attacking player gets put on report and suspended? The longer V'Landys stays in charge the clearer it becomes, of what a knuckle dragger he really is.
