+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xIts hard to say what will happen to averages next season - we’re likely to get the same three derbies and big blues as we had this year, but will we lose a Victory v Adelaide or Roar v SFC/Victory which would typically attract higher crowds? I cant see next seasons average being higher than this seasons - it looks like we’ll have the same old shit going on, the convoluted draw isn’t popular with many fans, and it’s doubtful Western Utd will average higher than the season average I think you've forgot that WSW are returning to Parramatta. That will give the league average a huge spike alone. You would think with WSW returning to Parra that the crowds would grow. I also think that they will make a concerted effort to in growing the membership base now that that they have a shiny new home and McArthur are on their way. Pax just over 20k for the WSW v Leeds utd So it’s pretty much on track to sell out then? Hoping. If Leeds had been promoted it would have been. Safe standing in place, RBB return, club working with Police LAC and ground security. A-class tickets are $100, B class $70 There is a last tix discount. We we should get close to the 27k imo but people probably feel priced out. When's the game on? I live 15min away from the stadium and haven't heard jack about it. 7.00pm Saturday night. On telly or nah? Answering my own question in that it'll be on bein so might be time to get back on to Kayo. its on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGs_YaZMugY&feature=youtu.be
Wow surprised they’re showing it youtube for free?

+x+xWanderers v Leeds attendance 24419 Out of interesting (and assuming you went) what was the crowd in percentages (Wanderers vs Leeds)? I'd estimate 6,000-6,500 Leeds with the balance being for the home team Initial ticket prices were $100 for Category A seats $70 for Category B seats

That's a disappointing crowd by Melbourne Victory, and an absolutely shocking crowd by Sydney FC.
Great crowds for Melbourne Knights and Campbelltown City.

Melbourne forecast was for rain all night which is pretty much what happened, not surprising crowds as a result.
Great stuff by South Hobart - smallest city and largest crowd for NPL vs. NPL

+xGreat stuff by South Hobart - smallest city and largest crowd for NPL vs. NPL I agree it's a good crowd, but Cooma is the smallest city, and by a long way too. Also, they were forced to play their game over 100km away from home (for what was their home game).

R32 Roar v City last year got over 6,100. because they treated it with respect and promoted it like a proper competitive game.

Still a great crowd.

That’s an idiotic comment - why should Supporters of association football get behind Rugby Football? And what the Socceroos draw for a friendly match should not be compared to the Bledisloe Cup, thsr would be like comparing what the Wallabies draw vs Argentina on the Gold Coast to say a WC game for the Socceroos Football has filled the Perth Stadium twice in the last few months do it’s nice Rugby can do it too.

As they often say about Brisbane people, they love a winner. Just learned that the Lions got nearly 36k for their game today. It would be many years since they got anything remotely close to that.

Last round of AFL coming up, according to Sports Industry, they need 276,250 to attend final round to beat last year's total and break the aggregate attendance record.

+xLast round of AFL coming up, according to Sports Industry, they need 276,250 to attend final round to beat last year's total and break the aggregate attendance record. LOL they will do it with ease. That's an average of 27,777 across the 9 games and all the big clubs are at home or are hosting a Melbourne team.

Even funnier when you consider that is nearly 20% of the entire A League season worth of attendances smashed in a single AFL round Right now we could have the biggest clubs of any football code in this country. Instead our plan to stand out is to do exactly what they do, only at a smaller scale

Don’t disagree and it wasn’t that long ago that Lions, Reds and Broncos all averaged over 30,000 in the same season.
