Do you think Lynn is becoming a worse batsman because he is not playing FC cricket?

+xDo you think Lynn is becoming a worse batsman because he is not playing FC cricket? the best short form batsmen tend to be be decent at the long form so you would think it makes a difference

No yorker, pace is perfect for batsmen. That's why he was rejected, even at a very low minimum retainer, in the IPL, no one would pay good money for him. M Marsh over Maxwell???? What are you trying to do?.. lose. Starc I'll agree with but the only bowlers you even consider is him with Cummins, Behrendorff and Richardson, no one else. And really only 2 maybe 3 will actually play a game

And really only 2 maybe 3 will actually play a game Get out of your QLD bubble Mike. We are talking about 50 overs cricket not T20. Hazlewood has a superior ODI record than Cummins. I reluctantly have to accede Starc @21 s/r 25 should remain as our ODI leader. Tho I liked what Behrendorff did last nite. To my surprise that was his ODI debut. He has only played 38 ODDs. Mitch Marsh has been pretty good last coupla years. This format seems to suit his game. Reckon in ODI there is room for two all rounders. Stoinis has the better battting record while Marsh has the superior bowling record. Both could win us games. I have not discounted Maxwell. Limited overs was made for his game. I want him in my squad certainly. I would leave him in the latter order as I want him to win us matches as finisher rather than have to rely on him to shape an innings that may win us a match. I still prefer Faulkner as the finisher but due to his lack of cricket last two years he has certainly gone off the selector's radar.

In terms of ODI their averages are very similar. However Maxwell has a strike rate of 30 more than Marsh, no contest for me Maxwell goes in.

CA wants him for the WC. So he will play. He brings plenty to this format with his slick fielding and handy offies. Just dont put him in an reliable position where he can let us down as he has done so many times over the years. Instead put him as I say in the late order to produce a match winning cameo. He was perhaps one batsman too low last nite.

you know as good as india are they only reach 300 a quarter of the time
maybe having a squad that can consistently get around 290 but lacks power to get the 350+ scores could actually work

Two down. Finch horribly out of form. Carey not an opener. Hopefully this might mean Maxwell gets a proper bat!

we probably could have gotten a dozen more in the last 5 and a dozen more in the first 6 overs. So 24 short of our best. Will need india to have some bad patches as well
