+xIn the end, no one gets away with anything, in this lifetime or the next. I hope you are not suggesting that they'll go to hell. In today's Australia you can lose your job for that.

Instead of all expressing our dismay to each other why not inundate FFA with emails ? reception@ffa.com.au

+xBoz was scathing of the on Bill & Boz, on Heather and the Board If it wasn't for the legal settlement that occurred between him and the FFA I doubt that Heather Reid would ever have apologised. Such worthless scum have sociopathic personalities that are immune from the normal ways that a conscience operates.

+xBoard member admits to defaming national team coach. Whole reason for dismissal of coach now a total joke. Toxic environment never existed. Chairman and CEO both missing in action. FFA bringing the game into disrepute one cock-up at a time. We need a Trump-like character who is willing to withstand the media barrage and the apathy of the masses, and take the bold step of de-classifying the Survey results, to start the process of draining the FFA Swamp.

It's amazing that a whole FFA conspiracy to persecute and sack a national football coach has been exposed as a total lie and nobody gets sacked, fined or banned. Who are FFA accountable to?..Noone it seems.
Never has Paul Keatings expression...Unrepresentative Swill ... been more appropriate.

+xWe can disagree on opinions and speculation. But facts are facts. Agree. Any hypothetical about what would have happened under Lowy is speculation.

+x+x+x+x+x+xSo in summary, FFA got away with it. In spite of the protests on social media and by professional organisations, they got away with what they did to Stajcic. Seems so. Absolutely disgraceful from the nuvo new dawn. But anything is better than Lowy, eh nuvo new dawners? So you think it's either Lowy or this? What a fucking dull mind you must have. or to think that this would not have happened under Lowy as well It wouldn't. The events of this week say as much. You would just never have heard about it lol -PB Yup. At least this is being aired out in the open for all to see. At least this way, people will get in line over time...

Yes they did & the lapdogs & sycophants who slavishly rely on the FFA for income & clicks are doing their best to emulate China & Tianamenn Square by pretending it never happened.

Keeping things to the facts, I'm keen to see what Zelic actually said at the time. I can't find any tweets, but maybe they're up somewhere else? The quotes in this article are damning enough though: “Do I believe Luke Casserly and David Gallop need to go? I do,” Zelic said.
“That’s a very strong thing to have say and I don’t say that lightly either.
“But I think when these sorts of things go on and can occur in your organisation and you’re not aware of it – that speaks volumes about your involvement and what you’re doing at the ground level because you should be knowing this.
“If journalists and other people within the football community heard rumblings of it, then I’ll guarantee you he knew and they knew.
“It’s a big thing to have to assume, it’s not a secret in Australian football that this has come out, it’s just that we have something more tangible in the form of surveys and other responses to go off rather than rumours.” Repeating the "if you knew what I knew" line. At best it's incompetent journalism, at worst it's hearsay and slander.

+x+x+xDon't see how Heather Reid keeps her spot on the board. Might be a lawsuit coming her way as well. I'd say the apology would be to stave off legal proceedings. He's been paid out, had his reputation restored and he can now move on. Any legal challenge will cost him a bomb and, seeing we're not America, any damages awarded may not be worth the exercise. Considering the precedent set in the Rebel Wilson defamation case it is probably worth his while to do so. Especially considering the money that is available for football coaches around the world, you could make a very strong legal argument that his character was defamed and because of that he lost significant future earnings, by using the Rebel Wilson case as a precedent you would most likely be successful, I'm sure he wouldn't have come to the Mairners if he could have gone anywhere else and his legal team can extrapolate on that. Wilson had to pay back $4.1m of the $4.7m she was initially awarded after appeal, that and the two or more years it spent in the courts to get to that conclusion is probably enough to give Stajcic second thoughts, even though he was openly slandered.

+xSo at any time in the last 4 months Gallop or Nikou could have said this. I mean they know why he was sacked. They knew he didn’t breach his contract or commit any misdemeanour. Absolutely disgusting that instead they chose to let the insinuations made by Reid and her media mouthpieces blacken Stajcic’s reputation for months. Geez we have some weak pr1cks in football. And I include that disloyal snake GVE in that group. He's been famous as a slimeball for years.

+x+x+xSo it's pick on Lucy Zelic now. How dare she not fall in line with the forum jerk circle. lol. So funny. 1. Zelic uses her media platform (and information from FFA sources) to suggest that she 'knows' that Stajcic has clearly done something really bad - thereby justifying the FFA decision. 2. Zelic attempts to walk away from her earlier assertions - without any apology to Stajcic 3. Fair minded football fans call her out on this unacceptable behaviour 4. paulc criticises fans for picking on poor Lucy Will Paulc apologise too? It's just his toxic masculinity, he can't help it if he has more than us lesser men.

+x+xDon’t think results were that bad. Under the same criteria, Arnie should be gone. That's a fair sentiment, I'm getting more skeptical of the national team as time goes by. The point of this thread & the surrounding discussion has always been the utterly despicable way in which he was forced out & those that enabled it. If the FFA had come out & said " Stajic was sacked due to poor form & poor results, here is our new coach Ante " from the beginning then people would have moved on straight away. Yup. If they really didn't think Stajcic was the right fit, they would have found a world class foreign coach and put them in for the WC immediately. Had that occurred, most people would have accepted the decision and the FFA's attempts to improve the squad. This didn't happen because of the vendettas against Stajcic.

Stajcic was possibly sacked to allow a female to be installed as coach. Milicic had to be installed to cover up the cluster f.ck created. Sacking the national coach just before the World Cup without any serious losses and a for a coach with a good track record and a coach who had created a cash cow for FFA made absolutely no sense . The Matildas are still hitting above their weight.Suggestions they are not playing above their abilities are way off. This is an over achieving team ,with a domestic competion that is over before it begins. As if FFA knows best when it comes to Football on the field? No Socceroo coach could survive if Stajcic was sacked based on results!
