Anyone know what’s up with Milislav Popovic?

I can’t remember his existence being acknowledged by the club since he was first signed 🤔

SBS reporting the possible signings of another three players for Macarthur, this would be assumed to be three of the rumoured thirteen players already locked down.

Jake McGing from Brisbane Roar, former mariners midfielder Liam Rose and Aleksandar Jovanovic currently based in Bosnia.

Along with those three, there have been rumours surrounding Adam Federici, although negotiations were affected by COVID-19, and that contrasts with the Biraghetti news a few days ago, however isnt impossible, with the possibility of Federici being used a reserve and backup keeper.

Apology to @RabiehKrayem from @TheWorldGame & @lewieatlarge over an article in February. (I wonder who the source was for the original story? Surely not a FFA Board member?) https://t.co/Cq8pIfNWCM— Bonita Mersiades (@bonitamersiades) May 12, 2020
They’ve yet to kick a ball in anger but A-League expansion club Macarthur Bulls have already lost a CEO, major backer - and now chairman Rabieh Krayem is gone.UPDATEDBY DAVE LEWIS
Krayem - who was appointed by erstwhile owner, billionaire property baron Lang Walker - has been replaced by shareholder and co-founder of Sydney’s third top-flight club, Gino Marra.Formerly the CEO of axed A-League club North Queensland Fury and head of NPL umbrella group the AAFC, Krayem was in situ for just eight months and presided over the club’s inaugural signing, Tommy Oar from Central Coast. His appointment came weeks before the resignation of CEO Archie Fraser, with Walker departing the scene last week after selling his 50 per cent stake of the Campbelltown-based club, valued at around $7 million, to local businessmen Roy Mammone and Michael Gerace.
Marra, an existing board member, was the initial face of the club when it emerged as a serious bidder for an A-League license, and he is based in Western Sydney.
He has appointed two new female directors as part of the shake up whilst former FFA executive Mal Impomato, the brainchild behind the FFA Cup, will step up from general manager of operations at the Bulls into the role of interim CEO.
Neither Krayem nor Marra answered calls from SBS on Monday night.

"On 24 February 2020, SBS published an article on SBS The World Game website, and SBS The World Game’s Twitter and Facebook accounts, which referred to Mr Rabieh Krayem. Rabieh Krayem complained that the article conveyed a number of false allegations about him. To the extent that any reader understood the article as conveying those allegations, SBS withdraws those statements.

"
SBS and Mr Lewis apologise to Mr Rabieh Krayem for any distress caused to him.

Mariners CEO has denied that Birighitti has signed/ is set to sign for the Bulls.

Also looks like Dennis Genreau will be leaving Melbourne City and is one of those 13 signed players/

With 13 players signed + a few youth/NPL players + imports would mean they would be able to easily get a full roster.

possibly a case of the “CEO being the last to know”?

Looks like they’re planning on competing next season if they’re starting training next month then.

Possibly, you never really know, heard from someone who follows mariners and knows people in the club, that they think no one really knows whats going on. But seems intentions are obviously to survive through this and want to keep some of there key players.

20-21 won’t start until November at earliest, plenty of time to grab a few mates for Tommy Oar

Nov would be better but it was mentioned about an Oct start to the 2020-21 season cause this is like a long offseason now as it is for Tommy.

The new season doesn’t start in August.

Pre season kinda starts around august-September, but assume the usual seasonal start of October may be delayed to mid to late November. Provide a gap between the end of the resumed season and the start of the 20/21, also less cross over for NRL and AFL with A-league for the opening matches, due to the NRL and AFL being delayed and pushed back in the year.

Macarthur-ites, now that FFA have stifled your pre-season with an August start up, as opposed to even a July restart, how will the new club go about assembling a squad, playing min 3 trials and finding cohesion?
I know, they will have to postpone your new team's entry, to the following season.

Continuing there good development, whilst were yet to see them play and much traction they actually get going, what there crowd numbers and memberships are all like, theres been many positives. This foundation package looks like a smart move, selling a one off purchase, get some kits out and about, let the fans promote the team themselves by wearing the colours.

A lot better then how West United paid a bunch of people to paint there faces green, black and white and say some shitting 'togetherness' and 'united' messages.

Lesson for future could be to allow new franchises 8-12 months ahead of there arrival into the league to develop there franchise to there catchments and regions of fans.

Heard Dennis Genreau will over there, Bulls should go for Rostyn Griffiths as their DM as well. His experience and physical game is important for the new club, even as captain.
