What a day. I see the Hannover 96 director of sport's assistant today, who I've taught a lot in English classes and ask jokingly whether the club is after a CB. Her eyes said yes and she said yeah and asked if I knew anybody jokingly. I asked her if she remembered Sainsbury and she said yes. Quickly said he's free to leave PSV and would cost under 2m but salary may be an issue and has previously stated Germany as a goal. I leave it at that and bid farewell.
4 hours later the director of sport says in a press conference that he's trying to find someone who can play defence and ideally has played a midfield role too. Ffs it's just taunting me now!

I have no pull or influence whatsoever but I see the director's assistant regular and she draws up the bloody contracts. Surely just a whisper or a hint to apparently blind scouting department would be worth the shot. Wolves once had a fan petition to sign a bloke and it worked. You get heaps of these stories.

I told her the full China story post WC about how it was to fund his dad's retirement as to not entirely tarnish his image. I'm going to leave this now as I'm sure he's looking at a somewhere. Just not sure where.

Socceroos defender becomes free agent
Australian centre-back Matthew Jurman has confirmed he's now a free agent after leaving Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad.
"Excited to share that as of today I’m a free agent. Looking forward to my next opportunity," Jurman posted on social media.
"Thanks to the club, players and fans for the experience in ."
Jurman joined Al-Ittihad in July 2018 after a stint in with Suwon Bluewings.
The 29-year-old has also previously played in the A-League for Sydney FC and Brisbane Roar

+xSurely he'll replace Spira at Perth assuming he is leaving. They normally have their next move lined up right. If he’s coming back Perth would make sense, who else needs a CB?

They're certainly going to have an interesting squad this year. Looking forward to watching how Piscopo fares in this comp.
