yer luv that against win odds tsf. I can picture it easily, the pro's vs the pluggers, great stuff. Muz agreed, if you can't throw it in to play yep throw should go to the otherside - fair enough.

+x+xNot sunday league but I coach kid's football, we played an NPL club on weekend, and they all rocked up in their tracksuits and gear..I thought we were in for long day. We scored in the first minute and just dominated them for the rest of the game. It's amazing how it sets you up for a happy wee lol hahaha. So good.. I used to coach at Greenbank which was a tiny club on the outskirts of Brisbane. We had a graded under 12 team that played in a league with Logan Lightening, Rochedale, Lions etc. All big clubs with NPL sides. They'd rock up to our tiny club looking all flash Harry and we'd give them a proper run for their money. Had more than one coach comment on how well they were set up. I'm not taking all the credit though. I had a bunch of kids that were keen as mustard, super aggressive and loved football. Makes it way easier if you have team full of players like that. Happy week I mean - oops. Yeah, set up is important - but the aggressive part you mentioned too. I have half who are guns and half who are kids of typical inner city greenies types lol But I've been working on getting them tougher. It's amazing how it changes a game when they're kids going in for the ball.

+x+x+x+x4. THROW-INS THAT DON'T GO IN. I can't say I've ever seen this happen - and my level is (was) at the absolute lowest level there was. I mean, foul throws, yes, but not a throw in that didn't go in. Was the player take the throw facing away from the field? Happens more than you think. When they try and throw it way down the line. 'It never went in reffffffff' Oh, fair enough. Hadn't thought of that. If you ask me if you're standing on the line and you can't manage to throw it in WHILE YOU'RE STANDING ON THE LINE it should be a throw in to the other side.

+x+x+x+x+xBumping for lulz Anybody playing summer futsal? yes Who are you playing with? Did you find it easy to make a team? I'm looking at playing here in Canberra, me and the other guy at work are keen to make a team, but I don't really know anyone here to set up a team, so it's all coming down to who he knows I try to get my friends 7 is a perfect number with two on the bench. You can definitely ask the competition if they know anyone that wants to join your team as sometimes individuals show interest to join other teams Yeah, 7 is sort of what we're aiming for. Well, more 8, makes it a bit cheaper since it's a per-team registration fee. I might look into that when they start opening registrations properly, but have 4 atm. Just hoping to organise shirts quick-smart is another issue with numbers/closing dates http://www.5-a-side.com/tactics/5-a-side-formations/

The simplest, easiest thing to do is to make sure everyone has a proper understanding of what their role is and where they should be at certain times during the game. As dumb as that sounds a lot of blokes don't actually know where they should be standing or moving to.

+x+xHow “Sunday League” are you talking? Do you still train at all? You might just have to except that you aren’t good enough for the league that your in, enjoy having a kick around and come back again next year in a lower division. WE are in the lowest div and we train once a week it is just "social" You just said it, its just social. That is club football below Div2 imo its just social but it all comes down to how many of these fellow social team mates actually have some skill. You face some teams and they have 4-6 decent enough players the rest they carry as they say. These teams will always be more competitive to ones who just have 1-3 decent enough players and carry the rest, all in the name of playing social. Very hard to expect more from your team if you have no real all round players with some ability. In that case it is what it is, just enjoy the spirit of the game and the beers/banter post game. Thats the social good side of it all.
