In the feedback thread a new mod is throwing his weight around with unsubstantiated statistics. He is using these statistics to mould the forum in his own image. Please answer honestly and lets see once and for all. Posted in AF for the greatest number of views. I would ask mods to please respect the views of the forum posters. This is, after all, not China.

The moderation team needs a populist voice representing the voice of the common people who are being terrorized by social elites hell-bent on a globalist agenda. I eagerly await the moderation offer.
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

I think we need slightly more moderation to ban the really obvious troll multis like mouflonrouge for example but other than that, the amount of moderation was as fine as it was.
Also the women bashing stuff that was posted should never have been tolerated but I don't think that kind of stuff is usually tolerated anyway.

The troublemakers’ sanctimonious posts about my Mod appointment, most no paragons of virtue themselves, more like forum rogues and harbingers of conflict, just made me laugh. Knowing more about the Mod job, about 2 percent are suited. Trying to resolve disputes between two people and trying to find a resolution to my satisfaction on the Internet is very difficult. I can achieve this in a few mins in my well paid day job. I’ve spent hours in the last week studying threads of posters accusing others of trolling them, in order to determine the veracity of them, that has taken me away from more enjoyable pursuits. Any Mod who has stuck at the job on this forum has performed admirable public service IMO. I take my hat off to all current Mods, plus Benjamin, Joffa, PV4 and KA. Almost nobody on the rest of the forum is suited to the job. They give up hours and hours of thankless time, the rest of us would prefer not to do. Thanks BB for posting your post and giving me sufficient reason to quit from a sage post entered by a regular forum poster. Contrary to popular opinion, I won’t miss being a Moderator on FTBL at all. All I know is that he admitted doing something some years ago which is very courageous and dignified in my opinion. I also believe people can turn a leaf and I believe he might have done that. In the end, everyone deserves a fair go.

Knowing more about the Mod job, about 2percent are suited. Trying to resolve disputes between two people and trying to find a resolution to my satisfaction on the Internet is very difficult. I can achieve this in a few mins in my well paid day job. I’ve spent hours in the last week studying threads of posters accusing others of trolling them, in order to determine the veracity of them, that has taken me away from more enjoyable pursuits. Any Mod who has stuck at the job on this forum has performed admirable public service IMO. I take my hat off to all current Mods, plus Benjamin, Joffa, PV4 and KA. Almost nobody on the rest of the forum is suited to the job. They give up hours and hours of thankless time, the rest of us would prefer not to do. Thanks BB for posting your post and giving me sufficient reason to quit from a sage post entered by a regular forum poster. Contrary to popular opinion, I won’t miss being a Moderator on FTBL at all. If I want I can return to be my opiniated self, and emancipate the rest of the long suffering Mod panel from their most stressful week ever. Also, it is up to the membership to come up with ideas to save the forum. I wouldn't pay any attention to the trolls and online bullies. You seem to be a nice fella, with such massive grace and morality unlike some. I can't say I am happy that you resigned but I will respect your decision for sure. This post was the catalyst for me resigning last night. I have never sought the Mod job and admit to mischievously using a mate’s accounts to use satire to wind up a poster or two 3-5 years ago. I felt quite guilty about it - and- being a hypocrite being on the Mod panel. I didn’t want to accede to the demands of a few trouble makers on this forum who thought they should choose the Mod panel - not site owner KA. The troublemakers’ sanctimonious posts about my Mod appointment, most no paragons of virtue themselves, more like forum rogues and harbingers of conflict, just made me laugh. Multi's are a PIA but as long as they are handled by mods (some deleted if necessary) when it does get OTT. Mouflon express's his onion from what I see, obviously not everyone agrees and I see some counter post him with similar attitudes, same goes re libel and his saying, like WTF getting upset over it, I expect most here are footballers past or present, I'm sure we all enjoyed the banter on the pitch. At times its similar on the forum, spirited competitive people aren't we. As for Decentric, myself just as mouflon quoted I have not had a problem with him BUT its pretty obvious this appointment has stirred the pot and alot of behind the scene happenings/the past and pm's that is causing alot of uproar and angst. As I said I have had no issue with him but this really needs to get under control/reviewed by Admin/KA for when your losing good long time members something is very wrong.

It was an assumption based on the fact that I have seen at least half a dozen posters if not more complain about you because you troll, bait, derail threads and it is impossible for anyone to have a proper debate with you because you simply ignore stats or facts which backup opposing views or claim they are somehow invalid or you deflect by making another outlandish claim which has no evidence backing it up whatsoever or just straight up insult them by calling them simple or dumb. “Only you do because you an an immature person.” Actually I’m not the only one. Also it’s incredibly ironic that you’re calling me immature considering the fact that you spend all day every day trolling on an Internet forum which is one of the most saddest and immature things anyone can do. They are both Cypriot’s who support APOEL. Mouflonrouge claims to be a Cypriot-Israeli though. They both fap over how good Cypriot football is and make the argument that the HAL is bad because Fornaroli flopped in Cyprus before going on to dominate the HAL with almost the exact same wording. There may be some other similarities that I can’t remember off the top of my head but I will add them when ai remember them. For the record I don’t want to see subtle trolls or multis banned, just the really obvious ones who derail threads.

i rekn its just about right, but obviously doesn't have no overarching rules of how to moderate. I think the mods should get together and agree to one specific set of rules about what is and isn't appropriate and what forms of punishment should be used. 1. swearing, abuse 2. topics/posts, what is and isn't appropriate for the forum/sub-forums Modes should be there to make the forum fun and come up with ideas to get ppls attention. (this is so easy to do but obviously fallen by the wayside in Aussie culture ) Pass the parcel, muscial chairs u get my gist . comps/games/end of year christmas shit/ birthdays All this needs to be done by admin not anyone else.

Including well respected posters leaving the forum due to over officious moderation. But hey I could be wrong. Vote and let's see

I voted for less moderating to generate more discussion and controversy if you like. More opinions and view points and a variation of these would be welcome. There can be criticism of posters view points for sure providing it is kept civil and respectful. But too often the man rather than the ball is played which should be better supervised by the mods. What should also be on the mods radar is posters that stalk others they dislike, posters that constantly make smart arse comments against specific forumites on a repetitious basis in order to character assasinate, against posters that don’t share their view point who push back in kind. There needs to be an improved tolerance and protection of respectful free speech if you want to stop the exiting of existing contributors and the engagement of new.
