now bowling out the part timers seems a good decision.
Would be tempted to sneak in a couple more part time overs here

australia's part timers apart from finch bowler pretty well it has to be said. Its just harder with 2 part timers at each end. So many of stoinis' wickets have been earnt through pressure at the other end
this game they have a different roll. Don't lose the game so the main strikers can finish the job. Any wickets or dots are bonus

Australia favourites now you think

we now have scoreboard pressure too
Just bowl a couple more part time overs and we can finish with our main bowlers

forgot to add
maxwell nearly with a screamer run out. Direct hit nearly broke the game open but he's home

only 2 off the smith over plus a wicket
I reckon we bowl max/stoinis at the other end. NZ forced to be watchful then we can finish with our strike bowlers

our control, even from the part timers (apart from finch) has been incredible
barely any wides whatsover, no long hops, beautiful line and lengths

Can you give the man of the match to a batter who scores under 10 and bowled poorly?
Finch's captaincy spot on

120 needed off the last 15. With 7 wickets in hand thats a 50-50 prospect. With only 5 on a difficult pitch and the part timers nearly bowled out its near impossible

tight over from maxwell great control
Thats 8 from the part timers. I'd not bowl any more until the death with stoinis if the game goes that far

no need for the 5th bowler now unless it goes deep. Try and bowl them out

smith warner and maxwell in the ring. How many runs do they save and wickets do they force?
With so many tight games for australia this world cup, their fielding has really been crucial

Australia's only weakness really are their 3 all rounders
but its not much of a weakness, Stoinis has bowled at under 30 and his 20 today was a crucial twenty, way more than it looked. Maxwell turns the game in the field, turned the game around with the ball against sri lanka and tends to keep things tight. With the bat he hasn't been his best (though not as bad as stoinis) but has turned some ordinary finishes by Australia into decent finishes with some power hitting. Carey has let chances go but boy what a revelation his batting has been this cup!
Its not our best team ever but its a good team with everyone doing their job. If our 3 all rounders can just lift 5-10% we will be very tough to beat

lyon takes one. Gee he's bowled beautifully the last few games
With Stoinis and Maxwell bowling good enough for a 5th I'm excited about our entire attack

what a difference dorf and lyon make to this squad
India see out Starc and Cummins and there is not much to come
NZ see out our openers and it just gets harder

commentators blaming NZ captaincy for NZs loss today saying they shouldn't have brought on their part timers when oz were 5-90
Bit harsh I think, Oz bowled out their part timers at the same stage of the match.
