Reds' committed to Elrich Adelaide United has committed to Tarek Elrich. Tuesday, 24 May 2016 @adelaideunited Adelaide United would like to make the following statement regarding the future of Tarek Elrich As a result of numerous rumours from sources outside of South Australia, Adelaide United would like to end all speculation around the future of the Club’s defender, Tarek Elrich. Elrich, who still has two years left on his current contract with the Reds, is an important player within the squad and was integral in the Club’s Westfield FFA Cup success of 2014 and also the historic Premiership and Championship double from last season. The Club’s General Manager of Football Operations, Ante Kovacevic, said: “The rumours surrounding Tarek’s future at Adelaide United are all false. “Tarek is a very important and valued member of our football club who has the utmost respect of his teammates, coaches, the Adelaide United Board, and staff. “We are not going to let a player of Tarek’s quality and character leave us and nor does he want to.” Adelaide United will be making no further comment. Has there been that much gossip about Tarek leaving? Apart from that Garruccio trade deal rumour weeks ago I'd heard nothing.

Good one and good to hear from Ante, not sure I've heard from him in relation to the squad since he was appointed.

Awesome news. There was a bit of talk that Elrich was going to City, but nothing major. This statement should also help calm the fans who are still pissed about Goodwin, Kamau and Pablo leaving in the same week.
For the first time, but certainly not the last, I began to believe that Arsenals moods and fortunes somehow reflected my own. - Hornby

Sloppy Seconds Time are an appalling bunch of rumour mongers. I don't believe a word of what they say unless it is to do with a player they actually represent, and even then I take it with a pinch of salt.

Tbf they were the first to report Eli Babalj and George Mells signing for AU

If Troisi decided he wanted to come home, he'd be a great replacement for Goodwin. Add that to Amor's new foreigner, plus a couple of youth team boys and I'd say we're set.

I trust Amor to get the players playing good stuff wherever they play. Edited by redcup: 17/7/2016 05:40:28 PM

Most impressed with Mullen though. Had a very good game today.
