Hope you get the spot! ps. You guys are on fire this pre-season! looking like a real threat this time round! I think we've all been pleasantly surprised by the two recent pre-season performances against the champions and premiers. However, we have to be cautiously optimistic and put it into context. We have a huge game next Wednesday whereas BR and CCM are still weeks away from a competitive game. I think last night was CCM's first game against HAL opposition since last season? Anyway, I'm sure both CCM and BR will be a lot sharper come Round 1.

Am a bit nervous that we are playing the team currently sitting top of the table in their own league, but that certainly shows everyone how awesome we are when we win :D

Vidosic cleared for ACL quarter-finalQuote:Adelaide United playmaker Dario Vidosic has survived a fitness test and will play against Bunyodkor in Wednesday night's Asian Champions League quarter-final.
Vidosic was in doubt for the first leg of the quarter-final against the Uzbekistan club, but passed a searching fitness test on his troublesome hamstring on Tuesday.
"He's ready," Adelaide assistant coach Michael Valkanis told reporters.
"He did well at training today, he did a little bit more than what we expected. Advertisement
"He was switching the ball, playing longer passes, shorter passes, and moving quite comfortably."
Vidosic strengthens an Adelaide outfit seeking to advance in the lucrative Asian competition despite being out-of-season.
The Reds played friendly games against A-League powerhouses Central Coast and Brisbane in recent weeks in a bid to get match fit for their Asian campaign.
They host a Bunyodkor outfit sitting top halfway through their Uzbekistan competition, but Adelaide captain Eugene Galekovic hoped the difference in match conditioning wouldn't be a major factor.
"We have had a long pre-season," Galekovic said.
"The only difference is they have played 20 games in their season and are match-hardened, we have played four or five practice games - even though they have been good practice games, they're still practice games.
"But the boys will be hungry - it's our home ground, we want a result, we want a win and to keep a clean sheet."
Galekovic expected Bunyodkor to play cautiously, but not negatively, in the Hindmarsh Stadium fixture.
"I don't think they'll play too defensive ... when they have the ball obviously they are going to try and play football, they're a very good football side and we respect them," he said.
"They are here to get a result and make it hard for us."
Adelaide will reshuffle its defence, with centre-back Jon McKain to miss about 10 days with a knee injury sustained at training.
Argentinian forward Jeronimo Nuemann will come from the bench in his first official match for Adelaide. http://news.smh.com.au/breaking-news-sport/vidosic-cleared-for-acl-quarterfinal-20120918-264at.html

Those familiar butterflies are starting to build in my stomach :) Really nervous about playing Bunyodkor again, the element of surprise has helped us a lot over the years I feel. Vidosic playing is a relief (hope it's not Pohang away all over again). Sorry if this sounds too pessimistic but I never expect us to beat these asian teams :d
