+x+xSlick work by Wade and paine in that run out.
Your mates on Whirlpool wouldn’t agree! I missed it, but I’m sure I’ll see a replay. Of course. Anything Tim does is rubbish.

Now Pattinson rubs salt into the wounds of a fairly ordinary day by overstepping and giving the debutant his third life.

+x+xnz in real trouble here Not the easiest pitch to be fair. Labu made a mockery of it Is clearly the easiest batting deck in the series. Except for about an hour this morning when the Kooka started reversing. I say Labu made a mockery of his first century but it slowed after that and he moved into his comfort zone. not a lot of sideways movement but variable bounce on day 1

Cummins looking far better today by pitching it up. Getting a hint of reverse as Pattinson and Starc were.

+xAustralia must be pleased with this session - 3 wickets for about 60 runs. Surprised Head is bowling before Marnus? Shot - Taylor square drive for 4. So am I. I see the leg spinner being far more dangerous.

+x+x+x+x+xBaggers, I thought Patto pitched up in Melbourne? Does he need to adjust his length for the Sydney pitch? Oh yes. This is a benign deck for pace.. Ponting calls it spongy. Are you watching FTA, Baggers? I’m watching ad free Fox. I play switchers depending on which commentator I prefer DC. Interesting? I think ads kill coverage. If only FTA available I prefer ABC radio. Except when Skull O'Keefe is commentating.

Definitely some more venom in this Patto spell.
I can’t identify reverse swing, but balls are deviating off pitch.

+xPattinson now getting reverse. This is a great weapon to have on a flat deck. It is.

I’m amazed Patto has replaced wicket taker Lyon?
Change of end?

+x+x+x+x+x+xPicking Latham to get a century today. BC total 280. Marnus the surprise packet with the ball. I’m not one for predictions, but BCs are having to withstand great GOAT pressure on a spinning pitch, Baggers. Does he really build all that great pressure. He can be very one dimensional at times when he is trying to hold up an end. Wish Cummins wud go across the leftie more. He becomes a bit too predictable around the wicket. Pattinson is far too short on this deck. Two quick wickets and the Kiwis are in a spot of. There goes my Latham prediction. He did not do a lot wrong as I saw it. Ponting said the ball held up in this spongy pitch. They are in trouble at 3-119. Chasing something like 457.

Taylor coming in has a 46 average, must hit form soon.
What? Cummins gets Latham out caught at mid on for 49!

+xGOAT strikes LBW ! Kiwis review. Out! Raval LBW to GOAT. Should have played Swepson, and Neser instead of Wade.

Kiwis now 1-114 off 48 overs. Our attack is having to bowl under more scoreboard pressure, and Kiwis can bat under less pressure.

This seems to be where Cummins shows his superiority over Patto and Starc - bowling effectively on a flatter deck.

He has bowled a few on leg stump/leg side. Should we we have pulled Lyon from the attack as he was causing probs, for supposed current reverse swing benefits?

That Kiwi bloke, Paddles, who seems to know a lot about cricket, was saying Raval isn't up to test standard. I wonder what he thinks now as Raval makes 25 off 38 balls?
