+x+xVolpato starts for Sassuolo in the Coppa Italia against Atalanta. Big game for him. oooh haven't seen him start for a while! Yeah, he's really starting to work his way into his team. Probably been Sassuolo's best player that half but the team hasn't been great. Some real moments of class from Volpato, a good shot and some great hold up play, dribbling and passing. His defensive side has improved as well but I'd like to see him pick up the intensity at times. I think once he gets fitter he will be a very good player in the Serie A.

Kuol starting in a club friendly for Volendam. Will be good to see him get some minutes in his legs.

+xMiddlesbrough have just signed an AM from Aston Villa. Finn Azaz I think it is. Massive campaigns for these clubs. I think it's really the time for McGree to move on to the next level. The injury has had him away for nearly 3 months which I think can stifle interest. It's normal but there's been a lot of loan returns across the EFL with players jostling for minutes.

Alex Robertson injured. He was seen in a boot yesterday and now isn't in the squad. Definitely injured.

John Mousinho says they suspect Alex Robertson has a hamstring tear, he’s gone back to Man City for a scan which will take place on Monday.
He could be out for weeks or even months. We will see.
I hate when players get injured in training, you should not be getting injured in training... probably needed some rest after going from very few match minutes to 27 games in a few months has definitely broken him down and you can see that in his form as of late. You can probably also call off an appearance for the Olyroos in the U23 AFC Asian Cup, as I doubt Portsmouth will let him leave now. Also, rough for Portsmouth promotion hopes.

Great to see Peupion play, I wonder if he will go on loan again because the last loan move didnt work out for him.

Good and bad news for the Olyroos then: Peupion and Mo Toure getting minutes but Robertson likely out (massive blow). We really need all our top olyroos available if we have any hopes of beating Japan/South Korea in the quarter finals

I'm still yet to see the true joys of Peupion. Give him 5 90min matches at a decent level to really dust off the cobwebs.

Realistically at full strength, we should be the favourites going into that tournament because I assume Japan and SK won't bring their best team. But they will be coached way better than us at that level. Robertson won't be out due to injury but most likely him missing these current games due to the hamstring injury, there's no way they release him at the pivotal part of the season for Pompey. It was planned he would miss this Asian Cup and play these games for Pompey but that's ruined itself in classic Australian national team fashion. haha

I tend to agree, I would definitely be considering taking Velupillay or Milanovic over Peupion. Would be very close. They are playing way more and I'm not sure if I think Peupion's talent is that vital or even useful. He's very raw and doesn't have physical intangibles that wingers usually need. His goal scoring purple patch for Brighton's academy team seemed to pretty lucky I'm ngl. In so many of those goals he was just in the right place at the right time and I think that's been backed up by some of his latest Olyroos performances, though he did impress in one of the games.

+xGreat to see Peupion play, I wonder if he will go on loan again because the last loan move didnt work out for him. Unfortunately I don't think he's allowed. Playing this fa cup game makes it 2 clubs for the season. Can't play for 3 in a season

strangley I saw this https://www.fotmob.com/embed/news/01hkqv72cf8a/middlesbrough-1-0-chelsea-player-ratings-9-1GK: Thomas Glover - 6/10 - Made the tough things look easy and the easy things look tough. Fortunate not to be punished but also a number of big saves when Boro needed him most.
Love Football

That is my impression of Glover's personality. His arrogance may get in the way of a great career. It the old days we would have said he needs to grow up, but I don't think that's allowed in the modern/post-modern world. It was on display when the pitch invasion happened and he was fortunate to get away with a minor injury. It could have been far worse.
