Well look at that. Edinburgh derby. Devlin, Atkinson and Nieuwenhof starting while Rowles has been benched, Unfortunately Triantis is on bench again but I can't think of a better manager for him to be under than Monty currently. Monty cares about him. Miller and Boyle starting

Rowles is a funny one. I think generally very good for Australia and he's actually played under the most mental pressure already in a young international career. Being less adventurous, he doesn't do too much wrong on the ball. He just gets a lot of the fundamentals done well. For Hearts he's rarely the cause of conceding and I think Hearts fans get very upset if he is involved in a goal as he's been in the good books and they have high expectations every time.

+x5 goals to 1, 2 xg to 0.3, posession 70 30, its almost matildas v uzbekistan Reminds me of volendam tho where volpato, like kuol, gets few touches but they are nice touches It's hard though, they're playing a GIANT of a team with world class players. Sassuolo are a few orders of magnitude better than Volendam.

Feel's like Triantis may have lost the starting spot already. He had good and bad moments as expected but those bad moments are memorable and play heavily on minds.

Napoli are just excellent in all departments.

Monty has to work to keep his own job. This is a decent loan for Triantis still. I find this supportive environment and being with Miller and Boyle will hopefully boost his adaptation to Europe. There should already be plans to get another loan next season somewhere. I hate how a lot of our players leave it last minute.

Amazing how quickly things can change in europe. All of a sudden circati, triantis, souttar and rowles benched
It is a midweek game mind you. So some chance for rotation

So some chance for rotation Circati's seem to be a pattern. Happened like 5 or so times respectively where he has started 5-10 games and then been benched for a few off and on and then back to starting. Maybe rest, maybe discipline who knows? But he'll always gets back and he'll start the next game and probably keep his spot for another 7

So some chance for rotation I take comfort in the number of matches available unlike Germany where once you're out of the cup, it's slim pickings. Not that this helps Souttar but there is a ton of football to play. Sure, be a good player but also avoid leagues with fewer rounds and those will big silly benches.

Not a bad run for Volpato, played 35 minutes against a world class side and got to experience not having the ball and being on the back-foot. Ended up with a 6.6 rating which was third highest in the team so not too shabby.

What the actual with Peupion starting and that's amongst first team regulars too! That post of mine in the U23 thread is somewhat answered with faith being shown after working so hard to get the nod. Managers do that sometimes 'You're going to get your chance.'

I've personally not being hugely optimistic on Peupion but I would love to be proven wrong.

He's still so young and hasn't filled out yet. I want to see him in 2.5 years after seasons against men and hitting the weights. Here's hoping.

Not a lot of touches, but quality ones Again like kuol but as u say at a higher level Hoping sassoulo arent self destructing. Mind u if it means he plays for us because he is in a relegated team i wont complain Probably the youngest and brightest start to a career since kewell

1:0 Wolves so early. It's not Peupion's fault but it looks like he's been put in a RWB position. He pushed up which allowed a ball to a Wolves player who turned the RCB. Peupion chased all the way but the cross sees Wolves score from it. Replay, honestly the RCB has been turned and didn't even enter a sprint to track back. That's poor. Peupion surely can't be scapegoated for that

How is that a foul by Peupion? He gets his body across Nouri who then clearly lays both hands on him and then Cam goes to ground.

Peupion winning more tackles now. 3 in a row. He's hovering at the back post but Brighton refuse to whip it across. If the ball goes through or deflects there's a tap in.

Atkinson gets back to tackle Boyle well. Hibs goal something like Boyle stole the ball off Kent and Atkinson cleared it off the line only for another Hibs player to put it in.

Peupion going fine defensively. His teammates just ignoring him. They're skilled enough to put a ball into the areas he's lingering but their heads are just down. Being put in at RWB is so experimental and I think he'll be off at HT and they'll reshuffle.

Peupion is fotmob highest rated player for brighton in a clunky performance by both teams
A performance for the purests since most of his good work was off the ball and in defence as well as build up.
He had a very weak shot after cuttibg inside. So did the invisible stuff well but made a visible mistake. Hope he gets a 2nd half. Congrats to him in a great achievement
