C'mon man, Melbourne Knights got a points deduction in the league 2 years ago after a fan let off flares 2 hours after an FFA cup game in an empty stadium .....
If it was Hellas fans throwing bottles at ex Hellas player Kevin Muscat at Lakeside are you telling me that it would just be swept under the rug like this???

Seriously?

A few Plastic beer cups that missed by two metres? It hasn't been swept under the carpet. Nobody gives a toss by the looks of it - or they think he deserved it,

Knights FFA cup game against Fitzroy less in the last public round had Knights fans displaying sickening banners against serbs which there was no reprecussions. A lot worse than a plastic cups imo....also witnessed a flag getting burnt on another occasion in the last few years at Somers st....again nothing said.

Does this still happen at NPL games? I thought with the generation change this would be thing of the past, maybe the dads of these clubs told there kids, Son when I am old or dead keep on burning the Greeks Serbs etc flags.

No NPL don’t have any really major issues. Allthough knights defiantly has a few knuckleheads who bring up ethnic crap.

Was just using as an example to show there is not some sort of special treatment. It’s just not that newsworthy.

Yeah, last round we had a sort of bonfire outside the stadium and burned voodoo dolls and a giant banner of Graham Arnold sucking a massive cock........  Next week we are burning ancient Mesopotamian flags, no one is sure what they look like but we'll make something up.
What do plastic franchise dads pass on to their sons, apart from a sense off self loathing?

Yeah I agree the right wing filth is just garbage but my point is if this happened at an NPL game (depending on the club of course) there would be an incident report filed with FFV and 99 times out of 100 a fine issued and points deducted. If I throw anything onto the pitch at Lakeside, justified or not, regardless of what it is or whether it hits anyone or not we would be punished. So the question remains.... these dickholes threw objects at a player , so what is the punishment to McVictory?

There have been some antagonistic goal celebrations against Victory in recent weeks. And some very bad reactions to it from our fans. some people say it’s good for the game. Its shows passion and personality. i can accept that. But where do you draw the line in terms of inciting crowds?

Dedicating a goal to your newborn, and wife is considered inciting the crowd nowadays... crazy.

But in all seriousness though, what is Kosta supposed to do? Just run back to the middle of the park? Run to the manager? This would’ve pissed MV supporters off more most likely as he is actually celebrating.

It’s weird, on the one hand I don’t actually mind the throwing of the bottles because as you say it shows that the fans care and that we have that type of passion in Aus, but on the other hand it’s completely out of order. And you don’t wanna see it at all.

I reckon if this happened in an NPL match, the same outcome will have happened. If no one was hurt, there’s nothing to address other than the poor behaviour of fans, which the clubs themselves have to attend to.

The last thing I remember happening which involved Crowd incitement and Football Victoria’s input, was the game I think between Altona and Dandy Thunder two years ago, where the players or the crowd were throwing insults at one of the Altona players which led to a massive brawl in the crowd with a few players getting involved. That is what required a proper review.

The bottle throwing seems like peanuts compared to that.

Dedicating a goal to your newborn is fine. but in front of the North End who used to love him has the potential to cause trouble. Kosta isn't stupid. He knew what he was doing.

Personally I felt he should have shown more respect to his former club.

Nobody was hurt when the lone Knights fan ripped a flare in his own grandstand after the match was done with no one else around just a bunch of lads playing it up for social media and shits and giggles, yet the Knights copped a 3 point deduction ... Yes dumb shit does happen all the time in NPL but it tends to get punished pretty swiftly compared to  Asia's biggest club....
Yup, Lirim Elmazi's dad and brother where verbally and physically abused by a bunch of Sunshine North Players/fans (wasn't even their team playing) and both Altona and Dandy where fined if memory serves me correct.. I wouldn't call it a MASSIVE brawl but ugly look for the game I agree.
